15 absolute best things about autumn

Oh hai there September.

You’d never know it because London is has been having an epic heatwave at the moment, but I’m saying, as of today, with this rainy situation happening outside – autumn is *officially* here. The leaves are changing, the weather is finally getting cooler and ah, there’s just something about the fall that gets me all kinds of nostalgic.

And as autumn is my absolute favourite babe of a season, it’s about time we celebrate the 15 best things about autumn. If you’re not looking forward to these things… then it’s time to reassess your life priorities, K?

15 best things about autumn

1. Cosy knits! The bigger the better.

2. Boots. Ankle, combat, knee high, you name it, I want it.

3. Coffee all day. Holding a mug in your hand becomes so much more Instagrammable when the calendar hits September, ya know?

4. PSL – Speaking of coffee, it’s now socially acceptable to get your pumpkin fix on.

5. Plaid errythang. Bonus points if it’s a super softie flannel.

6. Dark nights. Don’t get me wrong, I love how the long summer nights, but I also love how dark the sky gets during the autumn.

7. Blankets. If one isn’t attached to your body at all times, what’s the point?

8. Waking up to a cool breeze through the window. Your window is open for that refreshing breeze, unlike the summer months where it was open for survival.

9. The leaves falling, the colours changing. So. Much. Pretty.

10. Pumpkin beer. I don’t know about you, but this is my favourite of the pumpkin flavoured things (except maaaybe pumpkin pie).

11. Scarves are back. Hands up if you buy a new Zara one every year.

12. Apple picking. Not only is this shit all over Pinterest, it’s actually ridiculously fun. (Although v. v. basic.)

13. Halloween is coming. Say hello to Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown (Disney Channel Original represent) on repeat.

14. Socks. The crazier patterns, the better.

15. Jackets. It’s the season before you have to bundle up in a parka jacket. This is the ultimate time to look cool. Time to break out the leather jackets and long coats.
