Summer is officially in London… and ahem, on my travels in America!
As you travel away from the coast and into the mainland of California, the weather starts heating up significantly. The sun beats down on your neck, and you better make sure you have a pair of sunnies in your bag at all times.
So while we were staying in Napa, I couldn’t think of a more perfect outfit for wandering through the vineyards, sipping on glasses of the finest Pinot Noir than a flowing maxi dress.
Maxi dresses are my go to summer favourite. And they are an excellent standby to trick others into thinking you’ve put a lot of effort into your look, without actually making much fuss. It’s an effortlessly chic wardrobe staple. My advice? Go buy them all for your boho styled summer life. You’re welcome.
I’m currently loving this off the shoulder Miss Selfridge maxi dress from House of Fraser, which has combined the best summer looks for 2016, the off shoulder and the maxi dress. I. Love. It.
I mean, look at this FLOW. This dress is semi see through from the knees down if it catches the light in just the right way. A little bit sexy, a little bit modest.
I’m also obsessed because it means I could eat all day and still be flowy and pretty. All the wins you guys.
As a little bonus, the top off the shoulder part has an overlay, so I’ve deemed it completely acceptable to wear it without a bra. Because as women, we know that the dream is to never have to wear them anyways. Cheers all around ladies!
Obviously, I’m very much in love with these easy to pull off summer looks. With the weather rising so rapidly, the last thing I want to worry about is something I won’t be comfortable in all day. I wore this dress from 9am that day through until late that night when I swapped it for cool PJs to sleep. It’s a clear winner in my eyes.
Keep it simple and style this baby with a pair of colourful sunnies and you’re summertime ready!
