So graduation is over. I’ve gotten the master’s degree… now what?
Um. Food. Drinks. ASAP.
We revisited a great spot towards the end of Princes Street, Kyloe.
The last time we were here, the all consuming tram construction was our view… this time, the castle above and the cool, clear street below.
I made him pose outside with the Kyloe cow before we headed upstairs.
Kyloe is a pretty incredible venue.
The low lighting is relaxing, and the pops of artwork displayed give it a more whimsical vibe. Albeit, I’ll admit, it’s a bit strange to make the cows look so adorable when everyone will be ordering them within the hour…
And all the booths are decked out in fur (I’m guessing it’s not real, but you never know).
I think I’d leave vegetarians off the guest list.
Complimentary bread with a delicious tomato, almost marinara-like dipping sauce.
J and his dad both had the Rump steak.
His mom, the Sirloin.
Me? Well, daring to be different I ordered a Plate of Mediterranean Mezze. Which consisted of: stuffed courgettes, grilled haloumi, spiced pumpkin, cauliflower and coriander fritter and a golden beetroot houmous.
I probably should have ordered a steak as that’s what Kyloe is all about, but the grilled haloumi and houmous really caught my eye. And well, pumpkin.
Still, it was delicious.
We skipped dessert, too full from food and wine.
As we walked back down the steps, we said bye to our friends.
I’d recommend Kyloe, but really, leave hardcore veg people at home for the night.
Plus, how adorable is the art?
Maybe it’s a good thing I ordered the Mezze…
