5 things to know about the Glacier Express ⬇️
1. 🏔 The Glacier Express travels from St. Moritz to Zermatt Switzerland, featuring a panoramic trip through the Swiss Alps
2. 🎟 It’s a splurge, but treat yourself to the Excellence Class carriage where you are guaranteed a window seat and stunning panoramic views.
3. 🌉Travel over 291 bridges and through 91 tunnels
4. 🍽 In Excellence Class you’re treated to a seven course meal including wine with each course 🍷
5. 💰 And don’t forget, Excellence Class is not the only option. There are different carriages along the Glacier Express. You can still experience this route for cheaper ticket prices.

I won’t pretend this isn’t an expensive experience. But it’s a treat! Something you wouldn’t do every time you go somewhere, but as something very special that I will always remember.

🚞 Travel to Zermatt by the Glacier Express @glacierexpress.ch! This is one of the most scenic train journeys in the world
🏔️ Hike up to the Matterhorn Viewpoint - This is one of the BEST viewpoints in the town
🚠 Travel to the top via the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise @zermattbergbahnen it takes about 40 minutes to get to the top!
🥂 Don’t miss the Champagne Bar on the slopes! You can also walk here from town, it’s about 20 minutes from the centre.

Did you know that monasteries around the world are famed for their beautiful libraries hidden within? One of my favourite things to do when we travel is to discover monastery libraries.

Located in the area of Bad Schussenried, is the Schussenried Monastery. Less than two hours from Stuttgart and just about 2 hours from Munich. It’s famed for their Baroque library hall within with its candy floss painted colours. It looks like a confectionary dream. And yet another contender for Belle’s real life library!

Zermatt, Switzerland is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world. It’s a total fairytale dream walking these paths and seeing the city brightly lit below. Taking in views of the Matterhorn on nights like this feels so special to me. It’s so emotional how much of the world we get to see and how places like this exist for us to visit time and time again.
