I’M BACK.
Sort of. I want to always rejoice in the fact that “hey pals, I’m back into blogging” only to get sucked into the latest thing. The latest thing for me was traveling back to America.
I thought going full-time with blogging was going to be a piece of cake. No more juggling a full-time job, no more late nights struggling to finish posts. Wrong. I was so wrong.
Because even though I’m not working that 9-5 (or more like 9-8) job anymore, it’s still hard to get creative and come up with blog post ideas sometimes. It’s even harder to try and do this while you’re traveling. And… on a different time zone.
Honestly, I have missed the joy that writing brings me. The spark of creating a new post or exploring something new that you can’t wait to talk about later. But I’m mostly just tired at the moment. Maybe it’s the jet lag speaking. Or maybe it’s the fact that so often, I feel like I’ve already shared that moment over on Instagram with a short comment about it.
But even those tiny snippets on Instagram don’t show the full picture. I’ve done so much in the past few months that I haven’t even begun to share with you all. I’m finding myself getting so far behind, that it feels like I can’t catch up. That treading water metaphor seems apt right now.

After moving out of London, life has felt very much in limbo. We’re waiting on so many things to come to fruition, that it feels like we’re just…well, waiting.
I’m ready to find myself back to normalcy and routine…
At least for the next four weeks. Because then, we’re flying back to America again for another five weeks. And while I can’t wait for our adventures – I really am excited for it all – I’m still happy to settle in with a coffee and wake up on Greenwich Meantime for the next 27 days.
The hard part about being a busy blogger is well, you become too busy to blog. So I want to take the next few weeks to myself. Trying to stay away from London – and to focus on doing the things I really want to do at the moment.
Wake up. Go running. Write. Eat. And sleep.
Is that asking too much? Do you find it hard to get back into a routine or to stay motivated to write/keep up with your regular life when you’re on holiday?
Answers on a postcard.

PS. I did write a TEENY bit for Kelly Prince Writes while I was away. Check out my posts on 5 small things to treat yourself to before your holiday and my Bloomin’ Brilliant afternoon tea at the Royal Lancaster London.
