Hello I’m Kelly and welcome to my life online

It feels cliché to introduce myself on here again. Chance are, you already know me. We’ve met in person, we’re friends, family or grew up together. Or our paths have crossed during industry events. Maybe you know me strictly online. Perhaps through Instagram, social media and this blog.

If you think you know me… well, chances are that you probably do. As a New Yorker turned London blogger, I’ve never felt like I’ve had a mysterious alter-ego online. In fact, I’m steadfast in thinking that I’m the same in person as I am on the internet. Which I kind of do pride myself on. Humble, as ever. 

So you may know me, but if you don’t… Hi, I’m Kelly! (ps there’s a big into to me page where you can find out more too)

And it may sound silly, but I want to articulate in this blog, who I am online and what you can expect from this blog in particular. 

Kelly Prince Writes is a corner of the internet that I designed specifically for me and now, for you. It’s a space I love and have created as my very own. In fact, if social media ever ceases to be a thing (I highly doubt this) but if it does, my blog is my very own. I own the domain name, the content, everything on here is Kelly Prince-Wright owned and operated. I’ll always be a blogger.

Which is pretty cool. 

And who am I online? Or who I want to be? I’m your everyday average gal with a friendly penchant for writing guides to travel, occasional fashionista and frequent lifestyle musings. I’m both the more sophisticated “let’s grab a coffee for a catch up” type of woman while simultaneously being the “drunk girl in the toilets definitely now following you on Instagram”. 

Because I’ve never believed that personalities are single faceted. There’s always various versions of ourselves. I actually saw a tweet about this the other day – think of all the versions of you out there that could have been – a daunting thought. But for the most part, I want my website and online me to reflect all of that.  

Sometimes I’ll want to talk about brands you need to know and sometimes I might want to talk about where I went to dinner last night (aka inspo as the place for your next dinner res). Or my new boots that I snagged on sale and I can’t stop wearing – and you knowing that of course I’ll share the link too. 

It’s a space for fun. 

Because there’s enough serious already out there in the world. I want to live my London blogger life through my own rose tinted glasses and I’m OK with that. And I think to a degree, we’re all craving light heartened content in a world filled with BBC news alerts every ten minutes. 

And within this space here, I’ve found a like-minded bunch with my internet pals.

So hello, grab a cuppa or maybe a cool glass of vino and settle in for a new year on my little space of the internet.
