Brockmans Gin ‘Press for Gin’ pop up is back (and win two tickets!)

When a mysterious invitation comes your way with a ‘press for gin’ tagline… well, hook, line and sinker, you’ve got my attention.

Which is how I found myself, desperately clutching my umbrella and searching all around the city of London for the Victorian Bath House. Can you tell I never go into the city? After several wrong turns and somewhat damp feet, we came across our haven from the rain. I quickly snapped a few photos outside, while Grace shielded my beloved Canon with the brolly.

Once you find it, my god – it’s beautiful. Conveniently located directly across from The Ivy City Garden, The Victorian Bath House is set back, slightly from the bustle of Liverpool Street. If I didn’t know that’s where I was going, I would have never guessed what it would hold on the inside.brockman's gin

From the moment we walked in through the doors (and chucked those pesky umbrellas to the side), we were handed masquerade masks, which you were instructed immediately to wear in order to go down a winding spiral staircase.

Never in my life have I attended a masquerade party, so this already felt like a win to me, while equally reminding me that I, am 100% not in any way Dakota Johnson. Sigh.

The dimly lit corridor took us past shirtless men and latex-wearing, fire breathing dancers. I kid you not.

The scene was romantic, amorous and mysterious. We weren’t quite sure what to expect. Bathtubs overflowing with Brockmans Gin bottles was perhaps, the most glorious sight.

Until we were seated to our table area and spotted it…

The ‘Press For Gin’ Button.

I squealed. An actual audible squeal.

Once we had the rules explained to us on how to use the button, each time you press it, you’ll be popped into the end of the queue of tables, and then they’ll bring your drinks in order of that. Moral of my story here is, don’t double press!

The pressure was all too real.

Naturally, our fingers BUZZING, we pressed that button immediately and before we knew it, massive gin cocktails were presented before us on a glimmering tray.

Not my greatest evening for photo taking in the dark depths of the Bath House, but equally, it didn’t matter. We were too involved in the sensations, the experience, and the entire brilliant presentation.

It was a seamless transition from one thing to the next, in between buzzing about the cocktail selections that kept on coming.

And then there was fire. Believe it or not, professional fire dancers, fire breathers, fire eaters (is that event a term?) performed.

It was incredible. Honestly, these women were so beyond talented that I’m wondering why I never got involved in fire activities in my life. Probably because I’m borderline petrified of lighting a candle. That’s possibly what’s held me back all these years.

Even more exciting than the first Brockmans Gin Press For Gin event… is that they’re doing it AGAIN. And this time, they’ve upped the ante.

Which I guess I can disclose to you.

Brockmans Gin will be hosting another series of events in July to celebrate the summer in London. And I’ve got two cheeky tickets for you to win over on Instagram for their event at THE ORBIT on Wednesday 26th July.

Brockmans Gin and their Press for Gin exclusive event will be taking place at none other than…The Orbit slide! A cool 375 feet above the city’s skyline, will be how you’ll start your thrill seeking evening, where you’ll ride down the slide and straight into Gin heaven down below. From there, you’ll spend the night on the Orbit’s viewing platform where some of London’s best bartenders will be keeping the party going. Delicious cocktails will be just a press of a (gin) button away, too. To add even more to your gin-loving life, there will also be gin-themed canapes being served throughout the evening.
