Sunny Scotland!
Not a common phrase from the locals or frequent travelers.
But we were greeted by Edinburgh on Wednesday to gorgeous blue skies and crisp fall air.
We booked into a hotel right in the City Centre, the Castle View Guest House, between Princes and George Street. Not exactly a luxury spot, but with a central location, free breakfast and Wifi, we couldn’t complain. Unfortunately, I didn’t think to snap any photos of the hotel.
More fun came that evening when we went out for drinks.
Our first stop was Angel’s Share.
A relatively new spot in Edinburgh that we hadn’t been to while we lived there.
Needless to say, I was impressed with the decor. Plus, Angel’s Share doubles as a bar/restaurant and hotel. So the guests have some seriously good atmosphere keeping them company.
Onto more pressing matters, like drinks!
A Cosmopolitan for me and a Peroni for J. (Okay, so I definitely had some of the Peroni too…)
And with a last look around Angel’s Share, and a final drink (a vodka tonic) we headed on our merry way to go meet up with some friends.
Of course, when reuniting with old friends after a few months apart… photos fell to the wayside for catch ups and good cocktails.
