So I’m still working on my proper “city guides” to Paris, but in the meantime, it’s felt like a semi-sneaky (read: lazy) solution for me to whip together photo diaries for you to enjoy in the immediate.
I know, always taking the easy route.
As you know, I’ve been working to pull together all of my travel explorations into proper guides to go onto the blog. The amount of content I’ve been “saving” so I can write in-depth pieces is getting a little outrageous (I still have guides from the Algarve and Ibiza to get through – and those were from the end of summer). Needless to say, I’m fairly sure that I have underestimated the task.
But I’m quite determined to start working on city guides. The aim is to turn my blog into a more thorough travel destination resource, with extra pretty photos, my anecdotes and ridiculous suggestions of what you should do (or not do) when visiting a city.
Does that even make sense? Probably not. I’m still functioning on lack of sleep from the previous three weeks.
Anyways, back to the travel topic at hand.
Paris was, as always, it’s completely beautiful self. And one of my favorite spots over the years has become the gem that is Montmartre. I specifically always walk up to it from the bustling depths of the city below. Through the winding side streets, up the steep city hills. You see the architecture transform before your eyes, the buildings are grander, more pronounced in a way.
When in Montmartre, I always like to pay an Instagram homage visit to La Maison Rose and Le Consulat. Maybe it’s touristy, but I think Paris is a beautiful mixture of Parisians with tourists at local cafés.
Pass the red wine, baguettes and have a gander at our Montmartre adventures.
