Oh hey there!
Or shall I say, bonjour? Maybe au revoir would have been more appropriate because I’m typing this from the comfort of a particularly sunny conservatory in Hampshire, England.
It was a journey that seemed to last forever and yet also flash by in the blink of an eye. Four days of Paris, but a lifetime of memories.
Isn’t that how the best adventures go?
I’m certainly a little too tired and moody to whip up a full travel guide at the moment, so I thought I’d leave you all with another edition of my newest installment to the blog: Photo Diary Friday (you can catch last week’s here). This week, featuring Paris, Part I.
All days should start with strong coffees. And that’s exactly what we did, coffees at the Hoxton Hotel before meandering on down to the Louvre. Blustery, cold and stinging eyes are the best ways to describe the weather throughout our couple of days.
Needless to say, much of our duration in Paris would be spent seeking out cute cafés. Sipping on red wine and filling up on freshly baked baguettes.
It made sense then, that I would finally jump at the chance to take Joe to one of my favorite spots in Paris, Les Deux Magots. My friend Grace and I typically frequent this old haunt for a bottle (or two) of champagne, so I was keen to show it off to Joe too.
This time the occasion called for deep red wines, a toasty croque monsieur and jambon et fromage baguettes.
Truly, if I could spend all of my days like this winding through the streets of Paris before making my way to Les Deux Magots, I would. I can’t get enough of the Hemingway favourite.
