Pizza. Ah, my mate, my pal, my friend, my BFF. Um, needless to say, I’ve had a long standing relationship with pizza.
We all do, right?! Even the pop queen Taylor Swift herself throws pizza parties with her glamorous model best friends. And hey, if it’s good enough for Taylor, it’s good enough for me.
So when Chicago Town got in touch and wondered if I was into pizza parties? UM YES, ALL THE PIZZA FOREVER PLEASE. I responded super casually, you know, like yeah I guess they’re OK.
Inside was a whole other story. Phenomenal excitement. I texted Joe to tell him Saturday night we were having a impromptu pizza party and he basically died and went to heaven.
So here’s the deal. This month Chicago Town has launched seven epic new flavours to their range, including Limited Edition The Takeaway Pulled Beef Brisket, The Takeaway American Hot, The Takeaway Four Cheese, The Takeaway Cajun Chicken, Deep Dish Meatball Melt, Deep Dish Mega Meaty and Pizza Melt BBQ Chicken.
P.S. Ignore my horrible sense of tagging things. Their handle is simply @ChicagoTown. I just got really excited about the pizza part in the moment and apparently thought it needed to be added.
ANYWAYS. We decided to mix in the old with the new adding Pepperoni to our baskets along with the Four Cheese. These are so popular that our Tesco literally keeps running out of the new flavours. Four Cheese is the only new one we could get our hands on. Fine by me, but we’re consistently on the lookout now for the new ones. I’m definitely keen to try out the BBQ Chicken and the American Hot. I’ll keep you posted on Snapchat (hello follow @kellyprincew) when I do!
Naturally, we decided to bake them all at once. Bring on zee pizzas!
The pizzas cook in the oven for around 20 minutes or if you’re really after a quick fix, you can pop ’em in the microwave. I just always like using the oven. For crispiness factors.
The perfect pizzas.
The thing I’m loving about Chi-Town is that they have a mix in their range, you can pick up full size pizzas or the deep dish little guys. And if you’re really pizza obsessed (you are) they also have pizza subs.
We made too much pizza (is that a thing?) but I really do like that you can buy little ones too. If I wasn’t throwing the ultimate pizza night, these are good for taking to work, or nights when I’m on my own and feel like eating an entire pizza might not be the best of ideas. Lies. It’s always a good idea, but at least here I have some fake sense of control.
We toasted to our feast with a cool glass of white wine.
The Chicago Town pizzas were tasty, crispy and perfect for a Saturday night in with a great movie…
You know what? I’m pretty ready to make this a standing weekend tradition.
