I’m getting back on top of updating KPWrites with my travels.
It’s been nearly a month since we were in San Francisco (where has the time gone) and I’ve been behind on editing photos and getting my head back into the blogging game.
But I think I’m finally back and ready to function. YAS PLEASE. By now, you’ve seen plenty of NYC, you’ve seen Alcatraz, you’ve seen a little bit of San Fran. Um, and you’ve even seen us stuffing our faces at In-N-Out Burger.
So let’s keep the San Francisco thing going.
It was our last ‘full’ day there, and I was feeling all kinds of jet lag in my body. This trip, with all the time zones we switched from, I could never quite shake it off.
We had a lazy morning before finally getting up and walking across the Ferry Building pier to try out San Francisco’s famous Blue Bottle coffee.
OMG you guys this coffee.
It’s exactly the kind of fair trade organic goodness that you’d expect from San Fran (and California generally).
I ordered an iced coffee black, Joe grabbed a cappuccino and we walked outside.
It was one of those mornings that I legitimately can say that I rolled out of bed and threw on whatever was nearest and oddly, this might be one of my best styles yet. Of course the ones I spend hours planning out, are not.
After soaking in the sunshine, we popped into a local restaurant Bouli Bar at the Ferry Building for breakfast.
It was a little bit too organic for us. Yes, I didn’t know it was possible either.
Goats milk yogurt with fruit and then an order of granola…
Luckily, we’re usually down for trying anything. Still, we *probably* wouldn’t go back. Which is a shame, because it’s really cute. Actually, I probably would try it again, because everywhere deserves a second chance, except this time I’d order up the eggs, because they looked YUM.
After our slightly bizarre breakfast, we had a few hours where we walked around the local area, it was a perfect leisurely relaxing morning. Rare.
Then we got ourselves properly ready for the day and headed out to a little place I’d looked up that hosts Happy Hour Oysters. $1 oysters coming at cha from the Waterbar next to the Bay Bridge.
You really can’t beat a simple meal of oysters and white wine. Bottoms up!
Even Joe, who had never tried oysters – let alone sushi – when we first met, has now discovered his love for them. I’m such a good influence.
After the executive decision that oysters may not be enough, we ordered a lobster roll to split.
It was exactly what we needed and hit the spot.
Before we left San Fran for the day because OH we were driving to the USA v Columbia game in Santa Clara, I had to stop and get these snaps. I MEAN COME ON. Total bae alert.
I’ve been talking about having Joe guest blog on here for a couple of fashion shoots. He always rocks a suit!
I looked OK. Right?
LOLs, no.
Kelly xoxo
What fun! One day I’ll make it to San Fran, but we always get distracted and go to Vegas instead!
