Happy Sunday lifestyle lovers!
Grab a cuppa and get settled in to enjoy your weekly Sunday Coffee series.
Here’s the lowdown on the past week, what’s coming soon and what I’m loving right now.
Time for your Sunday Coffee
1. Press events. I seem to have missed every last one of them. Working full time means I won’t be able to make it to the super cool amazing showcases. I’ve seen posts, Instagrams and tweets about them already, so thank you friends for giving me a serious case of FOMO.
2. Christmas movies! They’re back in my life in a big way. I somehow found myself halfway through watching The Grinch before realising Christmas really has caught me. No if only they’d add Home Alone to Sky Movies…
3. Autumnal/winter candles. These cold nights (that start approximately at 3pm now) require trying to make your home cosy. Yankee candles are my favourite of the candles, although The White Company is a close runner up. At the moment we’ve been lighting small ones on decorative plates and letting them melt together. So I absolutely need this Christmas set in my life.
4. Despite my complaining about missing all the press events… I did attend an interesting event about men and plants, hosted by the lovely people at The Joy of Plants, who did an awesome job with collaborations, supplying everyone with Brooklyn Beer and taking place in a barbershop/café. More to come on this, but Joe won all the vouchers, had his beard trimmed and was overall a very happy man. Blogging truly benefits the whole family.
5. eBay. It’s taken me a solid three years of saying, I’ll get around to it, but I’m finally selling my things online. I’m a little bit too proud of myself for finally figuring it out. Needless to say, on the flip side it means sorting out my entire wardrobe. Let’s call it winter cleaning. Something like that.
6. Furs. I’m loving ALL the faux furs at the moment. I’ve been stalking ASOS lately and feel a shopping spree coming on. This River Island coat is heavenly. Or the River Island sleeveless jacket. Scarves to belt, and long coats that remind me of something worn out of The Great Gatsby.
7. A cold has captured my body this week, of course being the worst at the weekend. Ever notice how you only get sick on days you already have off of work…?
8. Being sick means things have slipped this week, like going to the gym and trying back into my healthy zone (And ahem – blogging). I’m trying to get back to healthy me. I need to work out more, eat better and improve my overall wellbeing. It’s harder than I thought.
9. Because I’ve been an unhealthy sloth person lately, I’m looking into trying a juice cleanse. I’ve done several back in the states, Organic Avenue has been a favourite of mine. So I’m on the search for a great juice cleanse to try in the UK. Any suggestions?
10. Thanksgiving approaches! This Thursday is Thanksgiving and while I’m disappointed to be spending it out of the states for another year, I think we’ll try and whip something together to make it special. I may have already made a batch of pumpkin bread yesterday (it’s easier than pumpkin pie okay?) Also fun fact, Whole Foods caters for your entire Thanksgiving meal. We popped in there last year to grab all the essentials because I was working late.
So we’ve got Thanksgiving on tap and it seems like it’s going to be another busy week in London. What are you looking forward to this week?
Let’s make it a good one!
And that’s your Sunday Coffee update.
