Admittedly, I would never think to go to All Bar One for brunch. Aren’t they ideal for post-work happy hours? I didn’t know much else about them other than one night when Joe and I were randomly up in London we got frustrated about food and drink (THERE’S TOO MANY CHOICES) so we ended up saying the next place we spot, we go in.
It was All Bar One and it was packed, but we found a little table and actually had a great night.
But that was a long time ago and we haven’t been back since.
Until now!
I was invited to go and check out their breakfast/brunch spread. You know I never turn down a good food invitation, so we woke up early (like too early) on a Saturday and went before Joe started work for the day.
When we arrived the restaurant was pretty empty, but like I said, we were there early for 10am. Everyone hungover from the night before does their brunching around 12pm, understandably.
We ordered coffees that came with fun little Smarties (Joe had to tell me what these were by the way).
Then we ordered our breakfast. I wasn’t feeling anything too filling to start the day, I hadn’t gone out the night before and wasn’t craving hangover food/all the bread. I picked the Greek Yogurt with Mango and Passion Fruit with granola and Joe obviously choose the pancakes.
While we waited I had a little look around. A group of lads came in and ordered breakfasts and a round of pints, as you do.
Victoria’s All Bar One is actually quite pretty on the inside, check it out!
We didn’t wait too long before our breakfasts arrived.
The yogurt and passionfruit with granola was actually really lovely and a nice change from how I normally eat it (plain). Joe liked his pancakes, but did say that they lacked the fluffiness factor that he’s used to after being spoiled with American pancakes while we lived over there for so long. But at £5.95, we concluded it was preeetty good value.
I’d definitely head back to the Victoria All Bar One spot for post-work drinks and catch ups over a bottle of Prosecco. The staff were as friendly as can be, so hey, if you’re in Victoria (or near one of their many locations) pop in for a cheap brunch date with your mates. Prices like that you probably – no, certainly won’t get anywhere else in London.

That’s so interesting, I would have never thought of All Bar One as a place that served brunch – but I know they do some pretty good cocktails!
