OMG YOU GUYS.
It’s LONDON FASHION WEEK.
Last year, I travelled back to the states during the exact dates that #LFW2015 took place. Unsurprisingly, I missed it all.
The thing is, I really love Fashion Week. I love the way that everyday dressing suddenly becomes art. Because isn’t that kind of what it’s all about? The way you dress yourself is an expression. It’s art in itself. Think about that the next time you rock up to drinks with your mates in black leggings and a tee (me, always).
So. Don’t mind my ramblings, let’s get on with the Sunday Coffee, shall we?
TIME FOR YOUR WEEKLY DOSE OF SUNDAY COFFEE…
1. Valentine’s Day!
That’s right, last Sunday was the big day. I’m not going to brag or anything, but we stayed in and did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I loved every minute of it. I bought Joe a Dairy Milk chocolate bar as well, so I mean, it was kind of big gifting day in the Prince-Wright household.
2. Coffee, of course
I’ve been out of the office most days this week. Nothing better on a Wednesday afternoon than a fancy glass mug filled with a fresh Americano, am I right?
3. Home decor continues…!
New table. New chairs. New rug. A SHOE RACK. Joe and I are basically killing it at home decor right now. Our credit card hates us only a little bit, but hey, you only buy home decor once. That’s the motto we’re going with on this for justification purposes, so let’s try not to debate it too much.
4. Low, Slow and Juke
On Tuesday night I was invited along to try out Low, Slow and Juke in Westminster. They served up a mean selection of cocktails and then we got stuck in on all the meat, and deep fried mac and cheese. Oh and a selection of the most amazing brownies I’ve ever tasted too. What diet?
5. For the Love of Trains
So, I spent Thursday afternoon in Birmingham for work. I didn’t have loads of time to look around, but what I did have lots of time on? The train. Sometimes I forget how amazing the transport links in this country are. They really are fantastic and I wish that we could sort out something similar in the states. Also, the travel is making me desperate to go away on a mini-vacay somewhere.
6. London Fashion Week
And so it begins. The mania. The mayhem. Things kicked off on Friday and… It. Was. Crazy. I was running late, as usual and managed to make it in time for three shows that day as well as stop into the Phoenix party, because at the end of Day One, you basically need to be given an excellent Gin and Tonic and try to remind yourself that you do in fact, love this entire experience.
7. London Rain
Obviously, the skies felt the need to open up during #LFW. Even in the rain, London is gorgeous.
8. George at ASDA Takeover
Today I’m going to be LIVE at London Fashion Week to grab some snaps and takeover George at ASDA’s Instagram account. Follow what they’ve been up to this week (and along with me tomorrow, obviously). So far, the stunning beauties Laura from tinytwisst.com and Helen from cocomamastyle.com have been posting some fab content. I’m up next!
STAY TUNED.
And that’s your short, but sweet Sunday Coffee! Think of it as an espresso.
What’s been happening in your week??
