Sunday Coffee

Well. It seems that it’s been one of those weeks.

Where I kind of forget that I have this little space of the internet to speak about what’s happening in my life.

Last week I left you without your Sunday Coffee. Which was kind of depressing, but it’s only because SO MUCH IS HAPPENING.

And this week, it’s Sunday Coffee AND it’s VALENTINE’S DAY. Which I’m not going to lie guys, I kind of love it. And not in the way that I feel the need to go out for expensive dinners and be showered with gifts (although, I don’t hate it). I just love the concept of love. After all, we all have people in our lives that we love. Whether that’s your significant other, your friends or your family and pets. That’s a whole lot of love.

And well, because pink, chocolate, flowers and wine. Hell, I think we should show ourselves that sort of love all the time, don’t you think? I bought flowers this week for the flat AND red velvet cake. So there.

Anyways. LET’S GET TO THE SUNDAY COFFEE!!

TIME FOR YOUR WEEKLY DOSE OF SUNDAY COFFEE…

Here’s the rundown my dears.

1. #TravelexTourist

I got to play a tourist in London for the day with $150 USD and it was EPIC. And lots of fun. Highlights include, champagne and Monmouth coffee. Also me trying to photobomb Platform 9 3/4 at King’s Cross. Don’t judge me.

2. Back to The Ivy

Last Sunday my friend Grace popped over to West London (a long way from Central you know) so we spent the afternoon shopping and then stopped back at my new favourite place. More avocado and poached eggs, because they are delicious!

3. The traveling circus

The past week, work moved to Soho because we are cool kids who like to travel. My time was spent trying not to eat everything in sight while we were there. I have however, discovered a love for Joe & The Juice. I’d never been in one before, and hey, fresh juices and sandwiches? I’m sold.

4. Celebrating!

I have SUPER exciting news to share. I’ve been promoted at my work! I’m beyond excited about progressing and I really love my job (although some of you already know, for client confidentiality, I tend to keep details on the DL on my site). So in the spirit of celebrating, Joe and I went to Pizza Pilgrims for pies and drinks. All the yum.

5. Scafes Bar at The Rosewood

Truly, all I do is eat and drink. Last week after a work event, Joe met me and we decided to pop into Scafes bar at the beautiful Rosewood Hotel for a few drinks and food. The atmosphere here is always amazing, but it’s crowded. Even on a Tuesday. So we happily managed to snap up seats at the bar and caught up over cheese toasties (the classiest of cheese toasties I might add) and wine.

6. Pancake day!

Yes, I was working from home on Pancake Day, so Joe picked up ingredients and we made pancakes, the English way. (I know I’m biased, but American pancakes are SO much better).

7. Funnyhowflowersdothat.co.uk

Valentine’s Day is finally here! And I teamed up with Funnyhowflowersdothat.co.uk to talk roses and first dates. All the pretty things.

8. Bar Americain

After months of staying in, I’m certainly making up for it now. Friday night Joe met me after work and we hit up the Mad Men-esque Bar Americain in Piccadilly. We are going back to the Brasserie for dinner for sure. It’s goregous and so unexpected. High recommendations from me. Go here for drinks. Go here for nibbles. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive and fun. Loved it. Also, they served bagels.

9. MORE HOME DECOR

I’m on a spree, I know. This week, we ordered chairs AND a kitchen table. I literally cannot be stopped. Our flat is looking more like a home every day. Nice after a year and a bit of living here, right?

10. Looking ahead

Usually, I live for the weekend, but I’m actually really looking forward to this week. It’s London Fashion Week coming up, and I’ll be attending a few shows and sharing some extra treats along the way.
