Visiting Paris is like visiting no other place in the world.
There’s a magnificent mystical quality that surrounds the city. No matter what you’re doing, it’s not ‘typical’ life. Lunching consists of an obligatory glass of wine. Croissants are acceptable at all times of the day.
It’s my kind of place, obviously.
On a bright and blistering hot Saturday afternoon, we visited the Arc de Triomphe. Having been to Paris several times now, this is one place I actually had never been in, only snapping up a handful of photos outside before being rushed along onto the next thing.
Finally, we took the time for a visit.
I can’t believe I’d never been up before.
The views, are breathtaking.
It’s the perfect place to see the Eiffel Tower, the Champs-Élysées and well, everything in between. You even can spot the Sacre Coeur off in the distance too.
I miss this place.
Sometimes in the effort to avoid ‘being touristy’ these are places that maybe you wouldn’t want to seek out, opting for a more authentic experience. But over the years, I think you stop caring about looking out of place. Enjoy the experience. Go and see the view. Visit the Arc de Triomphe. Go on a tour. Pick up the local cuisine.
I promise it’s never overrated.
