Mornings in Paris are the best kinds of mornings.
Le petit déjeuner is paired perfectly with croissants and a cool fresh glass of grapefruit juice and an espresso. It’s rare I start days better than this.
But when you’re in Paris, sometimes you get to play the role of the smooth sophisticated chic woman, and other times… you play the tourist melting in the heat and visiting from England.
Shop the Look:
Well, we can’t always exude that je ne sais quois.
I love wandering in the Louvre.
There’s such a sense of history and beauty. Despite being a very, and I mean, very crowded place, I think it’s always a worthwhile stop. Yes, you queue up to see the Mona Lisa. And okay, admittedly, it’s not what you’d expect, but there is so much to see. There are incredible sculptures and epic paintings from the past. In a world filled with Instagram and Snapchat, you feel so small and so insignificant compare to the great works that surround you. It’s humbling and I recommend that every once in awhile, we all get a good dose of that.
And finally, just like le petit déjeuner should start with croissants, any daytime adventure in Paris truly should end with a visit to the iconic Ladurée for a healthy dose of macarons.
You can find Ladurée in both Covent Garden and Harrods in London. Or you know, in Paris. Salted caramel and pistachio macarons are a must.
