Today the world is your oyster!

Oyster card, oyster pearls… I think you can sea what I’m talking about.

It seems like it’s been years since I’ve worked on a fashion and accessories post on Flat Eleven.

To be honest, I’ve been trying to avoid it.

I’ve been a bit down about appearences lately. After spending the better portion of the last three weeks being ill, not being in love with my hair color anymore (I’m missing the vibrant blonde in a major way)… I’ve avoided my usual fashion posts. And as someone who tends to have pretty great body confidence, I’ve noticed the definite slump. And it’s okay! Because sometimes we go through periods of time where we aren’t our typical selves.

Instead my Instagram feed has been littered with scenery, cozy coffee cups and treats.

So enough is enough.

Sometimes you’ve just got to put on a pretty black dress (or skirt), lipstick and get our your pearls. What better way to come out of a fashion slump than getting dolled up and getting creative with go-to accessories?

Truly, what more could a girl need in her life?

As you can tell, I’m an absolute sucker for visuals. Forever obsessed with Pinterest.

These are really encompassing my best go to accessories as of late: Strand of Absolute Pearls, MAC Angel lipstick, NARS Orgasm lipgloss, Michael Kors Very Hollywood (seriously, go find it and buy it ASAP. It was my go-to perfume for a good year before I ran out of it. Then I recieved it as a gift and fell in love all over again), assorted rings, and naturally my shiny new iPhone 6.

Finally, I was ready for my own camera time.

Opting for a classic solid black look with a strand of white pearls, this look can easily translate from the office to after work drinks with friends.

Also, I’m a teeny bit obsessed with the skirt (I’ve linked a similar looking one on ASOS as I found this one at a boutique in the USA).

Slowly but surely I’m coming out of my fashion hibernation.
