🫕 Fondue at Paradise @paradise_zermatt, a ski up bar overlooking the Matterhorn
🚂 Hop on the Gornergrat Train @gornergrat! This cogwheel train takes you to 3100 meters to the Gornergrat summit!
🏨 Stay at the beautiful @beausitezermatt Hotel
🚞 Travel to Zermatt by the Glacier Express @glacierexpress.ch! This is one of the most scenic train journeys in the world
🏔️ Hike up to the Matterhorn Viewpoint - This is one of the BEST viewpoints in the town
🚠 Travel to the top via the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise @zermattbergbahnen it takes about 40 minutes to get to the top!
🥂 Don’t miss the Champagne Bar on the slopes! You can also walk here from town, it’s about 20 minutes from the centre.

Did you know that monasteries around the world are famed for their beautiful libraries hidden within? One of my favourite things to do when we travel is to discover monastery libraries.

Located in the area of Bad Schussenried, is the Schussenried Monastery. Less than two hours from Stuttgart and just about 2 hours from Munich. It’s famed for their Baroque library hall within with its candy floss painted colours. It looks like a confectionary dream. And yet another contender for Belle’s real life library!

Zermatt, Switzerland is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world. It’s a total fairytale dream walking these paths and seeing the city brightly lit below. Taking in views of the Matterhorn on nights like this feels so special to me. It’s so emotional how much of the world we get to see and how places like this exist for us to visit time and time again. This year we’re spending the holidays in England! Christmas and Boxing Day with our family here (+ our first year as an aunt and uncle!!) and now? I’m very much looking forward to a week of relaxing in our flat, endless cheeseboards and snacks plus a bunch of new romance reads.
