Hello, hello beautiful readers!
I was bitten by the inspiration bug this morning and decided to put a post together about my February Favourites. Some are beauty, some are health, and some are just for fun. But either way, I’m letting you all in on the secrets of my beauty routine.
Let’s take a little look, shall we?
I tossed in some conversation hearts as well. These are my favourite Valentine’s Day treats (after chocolate, obviously).
And before getting started… it’s the middle of the work week loves, so be happy! We’re one step closer to the weekend.
First up: Glam Glow, Supermud Clearing Treatment.
I love indulging in a weekly beauty mask. I’ve been using this product for a little while now and I’m definitely a fan. As advertised, it does have a very specific mud like quality to it. And it can get a bit tingly as it dries. This product is meant to clear up skin, declog pores and the like. I haven’t used it enough to give a super solid verdict yet, and it’s a bit on the pricey side, so be on the lookout for a post before indulging.
This is the Tangle Teaser. I ordered it off of Amazon while I was over in the UK and I’ve been hooked ever since. Simply enough, it’s a comb/brush. It’s not harsh on my hair, and my hair has been in pretty great condition since I’ve been using it. My photo of it makes it look like a creepy crawly bug. But I promise, it is in no way scary.
More hair loving time.
I’ve previously blogged about this product: Bumble and bumble surf spray. Read all about it. I can’t get enough of this. In fact, I need to buy a smaller bottle so that I can take it with me as a carry on when I fly. Desperate? Maybe. But I’m totally sold on this.
Okay, time for lotions and potions.
FatGirlSlim by Bliss.
It sounds like a silly name, but I’m actually really enjoying these products. I’m trying to get in optimal shape/beauty condition for my wedding. So anything and everything, right? These products are supposed to reduce the appearence of cellulite. I don’t have much, but hey, on a beach in Maui for my honeymoon… I don’t want any.
You massage the lotion into cellulite trouble areas (so, legs). Slim is used twice a day. Sleep is just before you hit the hay. Both leave a tingly feeling on your legs.
You do the same with the SixPack but on your abs (2x daily). I like these products so far and they also act as great moisturizers. We’ll see in time if they bring about results. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the kit that I bought online, so this is the closest to it. But it’s more expensive than what I had ordered. Of course, you can find each product individually on their site as well.
Aside from moisturizing cellulite targeted areas, the rest of your body needs love too!
This is where Cetaphil comes in. It’s unscented and provides your skin with the nourishment it craves during these cold winter months. It’s a bit of a boring one, but it’s honestly fantastic.
Right now, this is my favorite mascara out there. My mother in law to be gifted me this for XMas. Usually, I am a strictly Dior type of mascara lady, but after trying this one I’ve converted.
This edition was specifically holiday created, but after some research, I found that it is the same as the Volumizing Mascara.
Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf is my current perfume of choice.
I love falling in love with a scent and buying the whole bottle. However, sometimes it’s good to get a mini version specifically for travel!! I ordered this set through Sephora before Christmas but have only just opened it. Yes, I stock up on some products long before I use them.
And onto the perfect little case to carry all these essentials around in.
I snagged this Ted Baker makeup case on sale in John Lewis after Christmas. I also bought two more as gifts (when something amazing is on sale, does anyone else buy more than one…? Just me?) Anyways, here is a similar one that’s a bit more spring centric.
Now that we’ve seen what helps beauty on the outside, here are some products that help with beauty on the inside.
First up… vitamins. Not just any old vitamins though, gummy ones!
I look forward to taking these daily. Two chews from the Woman’s Multi and two chews from the Omega-3 each morning. I also pop two Biotin pills as well (but that’s not pictured because it isn’t as fun as a gummy). I’m aware that some of these vitamins overlap and I may be extra dosing myself…but I’ve been feeling better than ever. So look into this vita-gummy thing if you don’t think you are getting all your daily nutrients.
My recent health kick is the Bootea teatox. I’ve ordered the 14 day teatox set.
Every morning you drink the Daytime tea, and every other night a Bedtime tea. The tea tastes great. It’s very herbal, but I’m into that. The teatox is paired with a food plan that is recommended to follow. This also means no meat or alcohol. I’ve slipped up a bit, but I’ve actually lost some weight over the past few days. Look for a more in depth most detailing the teatox later on in the month.
Lastly, because we want to be healthy inside and out…I’ve been drinking TONS of water. I’m always doing this, but I want to recommend it to my fabulous readers as well.
J got me this cheeky little travel cup that I take out with me all the time now. I really do swear that it’s always filled with water – just water!
And those my lovelies are my February Finds. I hope they will inspire you to kickstart something healthy in your lives, or carry on being your already healthy self.
Are there any products on here that you’ve tried before? Or are feeling inspired to try? Any others to recommend to me? You all know I love a good recommendation.
And now, I’ll bid you adieu. I’m going to continue to be in the holiday spirit and maaaaybe eat a few of those conversation hearts (because I promise, a little sugar is good for you too).
xx Kelly

I’ve been thinking about doing a similar post! Curious how that mud mask turns out after using for awhile! 🙂

I’ll keep you posted on the mud mask. I need to use it more regularly to get a good feeling on how effective it is. But on a superficial/less functional side of things… it always feels refreshing to do a mud mask! xx

Thanks Sam 🙂 You can’t tear me away from those conversation hearts during February. And I couldn’t resist a good Ted Baker sale. xx

Congratulations on your wedding/marriage! I really enjoy your blog and now I need to log onto Amazon and purchase the clearing treatment. Thanks for the tip!

Aw thank you so much, that’s so sweet. And so far, I really like the clearing treatment. But I just love beauty masks in general. X

Hi Kelly
I enjoyed your post. I too like Fatgirl Slim and I thought I would share my favorite product by them. Have you tried there fatgirlstrimulator messaging tool? I love this product and have seen a big difference. I keep it in my shower and use it everyday on my thighs, stomach and even arms. Massages are really great for cellulite treatment and prevention! I too do not have much but it’s great to do preventative treatment! Xoxo

Hi Andrea, I actually used to have the massaging tool! In fact, I may still have it somewhere, but I’ve moved so frequently over the past few years that these things always get lost in the mix. I’m definitely going to have to dig it out because that is the best reminder, it is a good product. Anything to get extra beach ready 🙂 xx

I have almost used the entire Surf Spray bottle at this point. I can’t sing enough praises about it. Amazing product. And I’m definitely into the Glam Glow too. February has been good product wise. Stay tuned for a tea post coming up soon! xo
