Happy Sunday Coffee and happy LONDON MARATHON.
When I woke up this morning, we immediately turned on the coverage to see how the London Marathon was going. The elite runners were already out on the course while the masses of people dressed in their funky costumes and those running for charity had yet to start. It made me both feel incredibly lazy for still being in bed and also a little bit envious. I would love to complete a full marathon.
Two years ago, I surprised myself by training and then finally running the half marathon when I was home. It wasn’t as bad as I’d planned, but it’s hard. So I’m continuously impressed by people who train for full marathons and totally kick ass on race day. Someday, I’ll do it.
Anyways! So the last week I somehow caught this sickness that’s been going around. Not fun. So that kind of hindered anything exciting happening. So it’s a short Sunday Coffee today.
TIME FOR YOUR SUNDAY COFFEE…
1. Ivy Park Collection
I went for it and ordered some pieces from the Ivy Park collection at Topshop. Yep, I’m a sucker for celebrity things and I’m not really that ashamed by it. But sadly, everything I ordered from the collection was SO TINY. I’m typically a small and yep, that wasn’t happening. So I returned some of the pieces and ended up coming away with a tank top and an oversized pink jumper. I’m loving the pieces so I’ll let the sizing thing slide this time Bey.
2. Rock N Roll Brunch
I’m FINALLY getting on track with updating all things blog. I visited the Hard Rock Café two weeks ago for the launch of their Sunday morning brunch. The food is of epic proportions and the booze is endless. What’s not to love?
3. Happy Birthday Queenie!
Yep, Her Majesty turned 90 this week. NINTY. NINE. ZERO. The lady is a legend, so to celebrate we popped open a bottle of bubbly and I happened to write a piece on mad facts about the queen for The Culture Trip. Go on and have a read.
4. Working with pals
One of my favourite things about my job is the fact that I get to invite my fellow blogging friends along to check out the latest and greatest that I’m working on. Annnd give them booze and food. It’s always great when a work week involves seeing Katy, Erica, AJ, Claire, Milly, Lauren and Lucy. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST.
5. Brunching at All Bar One
Just call me the Queen of Brunch. I was invited to check out All Bar One’s brunch/breakfast menu, so we went along yesterday to see what it was all about.
6. San Fran bookings
We’re working on getting our bookings on for our San Francisco trip… which is coming around much sooner than I thought it would. Today is going to be spent booking ALL the hotels and things to do. If you’ve been, give me a heads up as to what we need on our list.
And sadly, that’s kind of all I did this week.
It’s a little bit mehh, so I need to really get over being under the weather and start living a more exciting life!
