Sex. Drugs. Rock n Roll. And now? Brunch.
The iconic Hard Rock Café in London has now officially added boozy brunches to its repertoire.
Let’s start from the beginning.
I’ve never been to the Hard Rock Café in London. I vaguely have a memory of visiting one at some point in time in the states, but the memory is really vague. I was young and definitely not rock n’ roll.
So fast forward to 2016. The classic café is making it’s comeback. I’d never thought much about visiting there before for nights out, lunch and certainly not brunch.
Still, the Hard Rock Café might have just swayed my opinion. Brunch is one of my favourite things… I just hate waking up for it. But when an invite came my way to experience the Hard Rock Café new brunch installation, their ‘Rock N Roll’ Brunch, I knew I had to be there.
My friend Grace came along with me for the exclusive Sunday foodie goodness. We met up at Green Park and walked over. We arrived to a queue forming out the door… What. Is. Happening. Turns out, we were all being greeted and then taken inside one at a time. The Hard Rock Café definitely want to be seen with a queue. Makes sense to me and since it was a gorgeous day in London, we certainly didn’t mind.
We entered the café, were seated and immediately greeted with choices of Bloody Mary’s or mimosas. I started with a Bloody Mary, which you could mix to your own specifications. Grace went with a mimosa.
We boozed and listened to the band for a bit before they brought out the first course: Bagels and Pancakes. We all went a little bit crazy for the salmon and chive spread for the bagel. And I doused my pancakes in REAL MAPLE SYRUP. I think. It tasted like it anyways and made me happy that it wasn’t the weird golden thing everyone likes in England. Win for me!
Our next course was the GO BIG OR GO HOME one. Let’s see there were… eggs, sausage, bacon (AMERICAN BACON OMG), fried chicken, waffles, tomatoes, mushrooms. You name it, it was there to put in your mouth.
ALL THINGS DELICIOUS AM I RIGHT?!
This is basically the perfect brunch to soak up booze from the night before and indulge in a little hair of the dog. We all need it every now and then right?
I should also take a moment to talk about the band. They performed throughout our brunch and they were incredible. They were covering the classics and it honestly enhances the whole Hard Rock Café Rock N Roll Brunch experience.
If you’re booking, it’s a cool £29.95 per person on a Sunday, which includes everything I ate and unlimited cocktails (which you can mix and match – I definitely had a mimosa too!). For all that food and ALL THE ALCOHOL YOU CAN SOAK UP? Not bad you guys. Not bad at all. For anyone interested in sorting their Sunday brunch plans… you can book here.
