Just weeks ago, we were rushing to finish up last minute wedding details and had guests flying in from the United Kingdom and all around the USA.
What we had heard before the wedding was that it would go by FAST. And it did, it flew.
I remember looking over at Joe and asking what time it was, only for us both to realize our celebration and impressive dance moves were nearly finished for the day.
Which is a shame, because we have some good moves.
I want to share some of our favorites from the day with all of you my dear readers. You’ve all kept up with my life until this point, and I wish you all could have been there dancing along all night with us. You’re support for my blog, Flat Eleven, means the world to me.
So grab a glass and toast to yourselves for joining me along on this crazy adventure called life!
PS. The incredible photos are thanks to this really cool couple, Alyssa and Rich from Nickel City Studios. Basically, they make everybody look good, artistic and model like… and you can find them here.
And while we were trying to make sure that we got to the church on time, the boys had a bit of fun going over game plan tactics… the wedding may have been referred to ‘the match’ more than once.
And then the ladies… and my Dad arrived !
A moment with the matron of honor, Emma.
My father in law coming in to visit before the ceremony…
A sassy photo of my grandma, I love this photo.
Before we knew it, it was time for me to meet Joe up at the alter.
Cue the emotional times between me and my Dad.
This is when I comfort him with, “Thank god he plays golf and soccer (football) and works as a journalist covering the Premier League Dad!”
He’s happy then because he really, and I mean really likes soccer.
HUSBAND AND WIFE!!!!!
My amazing beautiful bridesmaids…Whitney, Sarah, Becky, Emma, Emily and Charlotte.
I don’t know where I’d be in life without them.
My husband and his groomsmen looking like absolute studs.
And then there were two…
Our delicious cake and reception venue…
Our first dance was to Lana Del Rey’s ‘Young and Beautiful.’
Father-daughter dance to the Beach Boys ‘God Only Knows.’
Mother-Son dance to Ellie Goulding ‘How Long Will I Love You.’
Time for toasts!
My Dad kicked off the speeches with a bang, and passed it along to my husband (eeeeek)!!
Onto my matron of honor, Emma.
I feel so lucky to have a friend like Emma in my life, who’s always got my back no matter what.
Her speech was wonderful. Sentimental, caring, wise and humorous.
And to the best man, Matt.
Who brought on the laughs in a big way. As he likes to start out the story, the first time he met me I was in bed with him….
Long story short, I went to Joe’s apartment. The best man was sleeping and I brought him a nice cup of tea and sat at the end of the bed. But it made for a damn good story to kick it off that way, with lots of laughs!
At sunset, Joe and I headed outside and the photographers captured some of my favorite shots of the night…
But after that, it was time to party!
We’ve got the soccer (football) stars…
And these United Kingdom stunners! From Scotland – Clare, Ireland – Alex, and England – Jen and Olly.
Yes. Seriously. They all came over for the wedding. Their friendship means the absolute world to me and I can’t believe how lucky I am to have them all in my life.
My aunt Katy and uncle Tim, aka the fantastic duo à la Pulp Fiction.
My gorgeous sister-in-law, Charlotte, FaceTiming her boyfriend who couldn’t make it over for the wedding.
My stunning Mom breaking it down on the dance floor…
My wonderful friend Alex who is obviously witnessing epic dance moves…
And another beautiful couple of the evening… Kim and Mike.
Finally, the happy newlyweds, dancing the night away…
I want to relive it.
I want to go back.
Spend more time with everyone.
Throw out a few more ridiculous dance moves.
Have a few more cocktails.
And spend the night making more memories with amazing family and friends.
I know I said I’d share only a few photos. Maybe I went overboard.
I hope you all enjoyed them!
Let me know your favorites below!!
xx Kelly
