I’ve never been known to turn down an invite for a night of drinks.
Seriously.
So when Harvey Nichols came a knockin’ well, I put on a fabulous black dress, heels and glammed up for an evening at their Fifth Floor Terrace for the launch of Grey Goose’s Flight Martinis and their summer takeover.
After being whisked away by car, we arrived to the vibrant scene. As the terrance focus, there were two handsome mixologists ready to charm and whip up delicious martinis. As a bonus, they were teaching us all about mixing. Considering my typical bartender tactics is to throw things together and hope they taste okay… I was bound to learn a thing or two.
Teeny little taster martinis.
But let’s not pretend it was ALL about the martinis. The evening was spent trying a myriad of cocktails. As we walked in we might have been presented with something glorious called Le Fizz. Grey Goose vodka, St Germain, fresh lime, soda. An excellent start to the summer if I do say so myself.
Shockingly, this is how I appear after showering, drying my hair and completing my makeup all within 25 minutes… all before the car arrived to pick us up. I don’t think I’ve ever pulled off such a feat. Disclaimer, my hair may still be wet.

We took a little walk around while we sipped on Le Fizz.
Eventually we grabbed a table to try out a few more goodies…
And onto the main event of the evening… the Grey Goose Martini Flight. It’s a mix of incredible bespoke martinis in sampler format.
Because I’m certainly no expert on describing alcohol in ways other than, Yep, I’ll have another, I picked up the genuine descriptions from the menu for my serious cocktail lovers out there.
Dry Martini: Grey Goose vodka and Noilly Prat. Served dry with a lemon twist.
Provencal Martini: Grey Goose Le Citron, Noilly Prat, benedictine and kummel. Served with a lavender stem.
Anjou Martini: Grey Goose La Poire, Noilly Prat, suze and orgeat. Garnished with bronze fennel.
Martini Aromatique: Grey Goose L’Orange, Dubbonet and white cacao. Garnished with a viola.
The martinis are of course, presented gorgeously. It’s more of an occasion to order a Flight. It’s not simply drinks, it’s art. Which is the overall impression that I got while we sipped on our drinks up on the rooftop terrace.
It’s an event to come up there during the summertime. The rooftop, the atmosphere, the beauty of the terrace. Needless to say, I highly recommend it.
The petit fours that are paired with it were also incredible. Almond croissants, apple crumbles, lemon treats and chocolate eclairs.
And finally, our last drink of the evening, because we couldn’t resist when they came around… Le Jardin Vert.
This was conclusively the favorite cocktail of the night. I had to be stopped from seeking out another one. It was that good. Completed with Grey Goose La Poire, fresh lime, freshly pressed apple juice, orgeat syrup. So so so good. Basically, if you find yourself on the Harvey Nics terrance, you must get this.
We had a lovely evening outside on the Fifth Floor Terrace, so it’s no surprise that I’d highly recommend it.
The Grey Goose lounge is open now until September 6th, so there’s still time to get out there any enjoy your Martini Flight.
