Happy Sunday Coffee!
I’m up a bit later this morning, because shockingly, I was out last night. I’m not quite sure who I am either.
It’s been a good couple of weeks where I’ve been living life to the fullest. I spent a couple of months where I stayed in at the weekends because of my busy schedule and it wasn’t fulfilling.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a total advocate for staying home at the weekends and having lazy lie ins, but I think there’s more to this life than resting up… sometimes.
So I’ve turned over a new mantra, it’s called spending time with Joe, spending time with friends and sometimes ignoring that part of me that wants to crawl under the covers at 10pm on a Saturday night. And it also means that sometimes, I might start a post at 9am in the morning and finish it at 8pm at night. Hey, it happens.
TIME FOR YOUR SUNDAY COFFEE…
1. Sunday nights out
YEP. I’m getting seriously adventurous, which means that last Sunday, instead of staying in… Joe and I went out to the pub. We decided to go on a nice walk around our neighborhood and found ourselves at a new location. Who said Sunday nights had to be boring?
2. Healthy mornings
You all know I’m pretty in love with my job, but did I mention that ummm, we get breakfast? On Mondays, we get food in for the week, and that means that every morning I’m making a pretty bowl filled with greek yogurt, nuts and berries. YAY.
3. Coffee love
I was shockingly good this week and got to the gym on Monday and Wednesday for my classes, but that means that on Tuesdays and Thursdays I’m resting up. So, I made myself a cuppa in the morning and caught up on news, etc before getting ready and heading out to work. There’s something so nice about getting up early and starting your day before everyone else does.
4. Work things
OK, I’m a busy lady building a career, blogging, writing freelance. So it’s always fun when I get to coincide work life, with fun life. One of our clients hosted a FANTASTIC Caribbean pop up in Soho and OMG this food. There are no words. Proper barbecue life.
5. Trainwreck
Friday night I wasn’t feeling awesome, so after work, I headed home and curled up on the couch immediately. My next move was obvious, turn on the TV and see how I was going to spend my time. Joe was out of London visiting his family and I had the place to myself. What did I go for? Amy Schumer’s Trainwreck. And you know what? It was funny, semi realistic and you know what else? SAD. I cried three times at least. I’m not even sorry. Everyone needs to go see this movie ASAP.
6. New dresses for the weekend!
My lovely sister in law is an M&S all-star, so she ordered me this Alexa Chung beaut last week. I finally got to give it a test run on Saturday night when I met Grace for drinks at Bar Americain. I wasn’t sure if I liked the dress at all, but after wearing it out… I’m now totally in love.
7. Isn’t being twinny fun?
It was so good to catch up with Grace and I was definitely reminded that I have so many people here in London that I’m going to miss when I head to the states for a MONTH. Eek!
That’s it from me this week! A total lack of inspiration and sorting out my life before I hop on a plane on Thursday back to America means that I need to 1) pack 2) see all my friends before I go 3) clean the flat and 4) NOT PANIC. Going away for a month completely throws me. It’s going to be amazing, but there’s a definite sense of anxiety that I wont’ be able to shake until I land and immediately realise I left something in the flat.
Busy life starts… now. (Oh wait, it’s been busy for months!)

I’ve been known to do that, literally hibernate in the flat over the weekend. I’ve started to do similar, making sure I show up for life in short! I went to my niece’s birthday today, it was wonderful and I stayed for hours. Similar happened in the week, a flying visit turned into dinner and wine – and I didn’t panic! I’m trying to get into a routine with editing & posting, but I will not longer let it rule my world 🙂 It’s quite nice actually! Plus I’ve discovered I can do it all, I just have to actually do it. Great read.

Aine, that’s amazing! Well done for taking the steps to getting out more and just let it happen, it’s absolutely worth it! 🙂
