Snow. Snow. Snow.
Yes apparently, London has been graced with the teeniest. tiniest bit of snow. And it’s finally made it’s way to West London. So I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it doesn’t stop… with a warm cup of coffee in hand and firmly wrapped up inside.
So grab a cuppa and get settled in to enjoy your weekly Sunday Coffee series.
Here’s the lowdown on the past week, what’s coming soon and what I’m loving right now.
Time for your Sunday Coffee.
1. Fitness mode activated. I made the ambitious goal to improve my health in 2016. I’m sick of my clothes not fitting anymore and feeling sluggish from lack of exercise. Last week, I really put my money where my mouth is and started to take this journey seriously. Which means… fitness classes! We set our alarms and got up to make it to our seriously intense classes before work. We went Monday and Wednesday and I’m feeling really proud of myself of making the effort again. As a bonus? When you leave the gym the sky looks amazing.
2. Home decor. I said last week in my Sunday Coffee post that Joe and I were starting to get into our home decorating. So, I have some updates. We’ve sold our old kitchen table from IKEA and are starting to get eclectic. We did some damage to our credit card in Oliver Bonas. It was incredible.
3. Borough Market at night. I mentioned that my office has moved from it’s previous location and we’ve settled into Borough Market for our temporary home for the month. This might be one of the best places to be located in London. It’s stunning. And with endless food and drink choices, I’m working hard to stay healthy.
4. Catch ups with friends. Both on Wednesday and Thursday nights this week, I got to spend time with friends. Wednesday was a catch up with my London pals who I hadn’t seen since November. How quickly does time seem to fly by? And Thursday night I met with these lovely blogging ladies, Katy (Little Miss Katy), Erica (I’m Being Erica) and Jaye (Bed In The Kitchen) for a couple of cheap and oh so delicious cocktails. It’s always so lovely to meet up with fellow bloggers, and no one bats and eyelid as we all take too many photos.
5. Gym on the weekend. I set my alarm and got up early to go to Pilates Saturday morning. Like I said, I’m in my stride right now. I also find that motivating gym gear can help. I’m absolutely loving my new Nike trainers. And I’ve been living in these Topshop sweats for months now. They’ve been perfect during this cold spell we’re having. To top if off, I say wear a badass coat over your look. You never know, leisurewear is in. You could be going to the gym. You could be going to brunch.
5. Portobello Road. It seems like I’ve been all over London this week. Saturday morning, after the gym we walked to the market to look for some new additions to the flat. I love walking through the stalls, looking for unique pieces that bring together a home. Surprisingly, I’d never been to the market on a Saturday before and it was packed with people. There’s definitely more to offer on a Friday and Saturday. If you want the widest ranging search for goods, most of the vendors are around on those two days. I’ve typically been there on Sundays and it’s much calmer.
7. You never know what you might find in London. After nearly giving up hope, we walked to the very end of Portobello Road to find this beaut. I’ve been after a floor length mirror for ages. This is going stand against the wall in our living room and I cannot express how in love with it I am. A sign of true adulthood.
8. My black skinny jeans fit me again! Hurrah! Apparently this hard work of eating salads and fruit is paying off because a pair of jeans that gave me difficulty a month ago (aka would not get on my body) fit me again. I’m planning to do a post on my change in habits soon, so stay posted.
9. Weekend fun. Joe’s parents came up to visit on Saturday night so we took a trip into Dirty Bones in Kensington. I have nothing but great things to say about this spot. The food and service is always excellent. I ordered a chopped salad (I know) and their skinny fries. Joe had the Mac Daddy which was a burger topped with BBQ pulled pork and mac and cheese. I definitely had to have a bite. All the goodness.
10. Sleeping in on a Sunday. Yes, Sundays are meant to be lazy. Today I have plans of relaxing all afternoon and then going into central London to see the Lumiere Lights display. Tonight is the last night to catch it so if you haven’t be sure to get there. It’s gorgeous!
And that’s your Sunday Coffee.

We haven’t gotten any snow around here in Alabama. I highly doubt we will this year. Also, I need to start working out myself. My body has seen better days.

It’s so great you’ve made some fellow blogger friends! I’m the worst at getting myself out to see friends during the week after I’m tired from a long day but it always ends up being a great time!
