It’s officially a Prince-Wright tradition!! We’re travelling to the island of Ireland for our fourth Halloween! We’ve celebrated Púca Festival in Trim, experienced spectacular Derry Halloween and last year joined Macnas in Galway!

This year, there’s more Halloween than EVER before with events held throughout October and into November across the island with SEVEN different Halloween hubs. Halloween is NOT just one night a year anymore! The more the merrier! Expect parades, storytelling, fiery celebrations, traditional music, food and soooo much more 🥰.

We’ll be exploring Kerry and Limerick this Halloween season and I cannot WAIT! These are two totally new places for us to visit! I’m so excited to spend my favourite season in one of my favourite places in the world! 🎃🍂🍁

Welcome to Warwick Castle @warwickcastleofficial 🏰! This is one of the coolest stays we have done! There are ONLY two rooms available to stay overnight right inside Warwick Castle in the Tower Suites! We stayed in the Peacock Suite 🦚 and it was such a dream.

When the castle closes to the public at 4pm, you have the entire grounds to yourself to explore for the evening and the next morning. It’s a total dream stay for castle and history lovers.

📖 A one hour private guided tour of Warwick Castle
🥂 Champagne on arrival
🍳 Breakfast served IN the castle
🏰 Entry to Warwick Castle, Grounds and Gardens

Tower Suites rooms start from around £475 for the night (depending on the time of year). Or you can also stay at Warwick Castle Hotel or the Knight’s Village Lodges next to Warwick Castle, but those won’t grant you the overnight access.

Did you know that Chetham’s Library in Manchester, opened in 1653 and is the oldest surviving public library in Britain? You can book tours to visit, which I’d highly recommend! They even do after hours tours at night where they open up some of the secret passageways not on the regular tours… I’m desperate to go on that one next! 🕯️📖✨

Welcome to Bovey Castle! 🏰

In the rolling valleys of Dartmoor National Park, you’ll find this magnificent castle that you can actually stay in!

In terms of English castles, Bovey Castle is actually relatively new. It was built in 1890 by William Henry Smith (you know of WH Smith’s) and was called The Manor House. It officially became a hotel and golf club in the 1930s!

🛌 Sleep in a room fit for a princess, we stayed in one of their suites overlooking the castle grounds and it was STUNNING. And classic rooms start from £228 per night.
🍽️ Dress up for dinner in the Great Western Grill, we had the best date night here
🏰 Go for long walks around the grounds, a beautiful part of the countryside
🥗 Pop for lunch in Smith’s Brasserie, a more informal dining area
🍰 Afternoon tea is not to be missed, ask to have yours by one of their roaring fireplaces 🔥
⛳️ Play a round of golf or two (Joe was full of envy that he didn’t play this time!)
👑 Dress up like royalty, of course. You know I’m ALWAYS dressing up for a castle stay
🧖‍♀️ Visit the spa for a treatment or a dip in the pool

We had the loveliest time at Bovey Castle and I can’t wait to go back again someday! Would you stay here? 🏰

📍Ballysaggartmore Towers are in County Waterford, Ireland 🇮🇪

These structures situated here do look quite grand, but they’re actually considered follies. Which if you don’t know is a building that was constructed primarily for decoration, but suggesting through its grand appearance another purpose. Kind of like a false entrance to a castle because these actually led to Ballysaggartmore House which was considered large, but not quite so sophisticated. Pretty interesting history! Kind of like having a very impressive driveway to a very boring home!
