A MAGICAL FOREST 🌲✨🍂

This makes me feel like I’ve stepped into the Autumn Court in ACOTAR 🍂. But in real life (and not book world) - did you know this row of trees is actually the super famous Dark Hedges of Northern Ireland? You might recognise them as they featured as the “King’s Road” in Game of Thrones (as we reference books, real life AND TV shows in today’s caption 😍).

I’d highly recommend visiting in the autumn, the colours are SO beautiful this time of year. Tips for visiting? You are not allowed to drive on the road! If you are visiting there is a car park at one end of the road and it’s a super easy walk down. 🍂🍁

You know I would… and did! We spent two nights @thornburycastle (an ACTUAL CASTLE 🏰) in the King Henry VIII suite - one of the most beautiful, unique and possibly one of the oldest rooms I’ve ever stayed in!

This library has been a bucket list library for me to visit for so long! I can’t explain how I almost cried when we finally saw it - it’s absolutely beautiful. And one of the friendliest libraries we’ve been at too! Armagh Robinson Library is 100% a place that welcomes visitors whether you have 10 minutes or 3 hours to spend there. We learned so much about the history and the books and I can’t wait to share more! 📚

📍Ballysaggartmore Towers are in County Waterford, Ireland 🇮🇪

These structures situated here do look quite grand, but they’re actually considered follies. Which if you don’t know is a building that was constructed primarily for decoration, but suggesting through its grand appearance another purpose. Kind of like a false entrance to a castle because these actually led to Ballysaggartmore House which was considered large, but not quite so sophisticated. Pretty interesting history! Kind of like having a very impressive driveway to a very boring home!
