Starting 2026 by visiting bucket list libraries!! Welcome to the Boston Public Library 😍📖📚

Did you know that it was the first large free municipal library in the United States? That’s right, it’s still free to enter! Anyone can walk in and spend the day working from here. If I lived in Boston, you’d find me here all the time!

And the library is HUGE. This famous room is Bates Hall which is the original reading room at the Central Library.

Named for Joshua Bates, the BPL’s first major benefactor! Bates grew up without a public library, was self-taught, and therefore knew the importance of education access being available to everyone. His conditions for the donation? He requested that the library be warm, well lit and provide space for at least 150 people to read - and most importantly remain free to all. “Free to all” remains the library’s motto today! 🥰

There’s no place like home ❤️ Snapshots from two

There’s no place like home ❤️

Snapshots from two weeks in the states seeing my favourite people during the holidays! It’s been two years since I’ve been home and those two and a half weeks absolutely flew by! We started things off with our flight being cancelled as we got to Heathrow and with a quick pivot, we changed destinations to Washington DC and drove 8 hours home from there 😅

BUT we got to spend extra time with family along the drive 🚙, cuddled with my aunts cuuuuuutest dogs ever (petition to get me a dog asap pls) 🐶, crashed my relatives annual Christmas party 🎄, went to see the Buffalo Bills play their last ever game in the old stadium 🏟️, drove through a snowstorm 🌨️, had dinner in one of my favourite holiday spots in Buffalo 🎁 (wearing @selkie ofc), saw friends for dinner in a snow globe ❄️, took my dad’s hot yoga class 🧘‍♀️ (yes my dad teaches yoga), got the cutest @royal.coven bookish parcel 📖, bought 16 used books 📚(they’re filling up a suitcase right now), about 8 more from the Barnes and Noble holiday sale 📖(yay!), finally visited the Mackenzie Childs barn 🖤🤍, made everyone take photos in a blizzard at my moms ❄️😅 and so many more moments where my phone just stayed in my bag because the times were too good 😍

Swipe to the end for how I need to spend the next month. It’s been a non-stop few weeks and I’m 100000% ready for a little rest and reset when we get back to England 😴.

PS, and a big thanks so much for all of you for being here year after year, I think I’ll touch more on that later but please know how appreciated you are from me. Love you guys 😘😘😘
