Finally! A day at the beach!
It seemed like we weren’t really at the beach that often during our honeymoon…that sounds crazy. We were in Hawaii, an absolutely gorgeous location known for luxe beaches and beautiful weather.
Well, the Kihei Surfside of the island where our condo was located happened to have very high winds during the afternoon. A little fact that all of the locals knew. So they were all spotted early in the morning getting their beach time in.
We weren’t so aware at first. After a few days of being pelted with flying sand, we wised up.
We hauled our beach chairs down and planted ourselves by the water…at a much earlier hour. And what incredible views unobstructed by flying sand.
The sky couldn’t be a more perfect shade of blue, contrasted with the golden sand and the cerulean water. Just, wow.
So with the hot sun in the sky, we took to the water.
Okay, so I didn’t go too far in the water. But it felt great all the same.
This guy wasn’t too keen either. He watched his owner frolic in the sea from a safe distance.
We spent a few hours relaxing and working on our tans.
Hmmm… I shouldn’t say we worked on our tans, my choice sunscreen is SPF 50 or 70. (Mostly SPF 70) I definitely want to keep my pale skin as safe as possible.
Have you enjoyed a good beach day this summer?
Where is your favorite beach to go to? (You never know, I might need suggestions for where to go next!)
xx Kelly
PS. My bikini is an ancient one from Juicy Couture. I picked it up a few years ago, but here are some other similar looking floral options!

It looks lovely! My favourite beach is probably Eagle Beach in Aruba or any in the Maldives! x

I’d totally agree that any beach in the Maldives sounds amazing. I’ll have to get myself there someday! xoxo
