This is embarrassing.
I’ve just realized that I haven’t posted a single thing all week since last Sunday. Apparently this is what continues to slip my mind while I have a full time job and continue freelance writing for various London based websites. Oops.
In the meantime, I’ve been creating lots of posts and saving them as sad little drafts that have yet to see the light of the interwebs. Sigh. Someday.
Anyways, enough about my sad lack of time. LET’S GET TO THE SUNDAY COFFEE!!
Time for your weekly dose of Sunday Coffee…
Here’s the rundown folks.
1. Casual evenings at The Savoy
Or should I say, NOT SO CAUSAL. Last Sunday we attended a Gala Dinner with the Football Writers Association where Joe is a member, don’t you know. I’m ridiculously proud of him so I’m just shouting about that here for a sec… Okay. I’m also proud of the fact that I found a cheap ASOS dress that I somehow dressed up to look acceptable. And I found a reason to use the Kate Spade clutch I bought for our wedding in public. Don’t ask me why I felt it was necessary to have a clutch to my wedding. The reality is that I kept handing people things to hold anyways. But it had sequins. So.
2. Mondays off
If I become the next Mayor of London (LOL) I’m making Mondays off from work a mandatory thing. I took Monday off this week because I thought I’d be recovering from a major hangover. I wasn’t, luckily so it was the best thing ever. I felt like I’d been given the gift of time. Just call me Hermione.
3. Brunch at The Ivy in Kensington
It’s new and it’s a beaut. Again, thinking I was going to be indulging a hangover I booked us in for breakfast at The Ivy. I broke my new ‘no bread’ rule (the whole eating plan is kinda out the window at the mo, whoops!) and ordered Avocado, poached eggs and tomato. Simply amazing.
4. Walks in the side streets
We had so much time to spare after brunch that we ended up walking about West London for the afternoon. YAY.
5. Tower Bridge
There was a work event on Thursday night for one of our clients, and this was the view! It kind of makes you fall in love with London over and over again, doesn’t it? I’m definitely lucky to call this city home.
6. Spin class
For the first time in two years I went to a spin class. I feel like my body is both rejoicing and rejecting me simultaneously.
7. Travelex exploring!
This Saturday I was given $150 to exchange into GBP with Travelex and go play tourist in London. It was so much fun, we spend the whole afternoon and evening out and about exploring. I am super excited to share what we did in a post with you guys!
8. Puppies
Yesterday we saw the cutest puppy imaginable and I’m getting itchy feet to adopt one soon. I even think I have Joe getting excited about the prospect… so stay tuned. (PUPPIES).
9. Sundays are for writing
I’m going to start making Sunday my official ‘writing day’ where I plan on doing nothing but staying firmly tied to my laptop with endless cups of coffee. Realistic? Not so much. But I certainly need to get back into the habit. I miss pouring time into my site. I really do.
10. Relax!
Despite my writing manifesto, I plan on catching up on some Law and Order episodes and wearing leggings and a hoodie ALL DAY. Jealous?
Happy Sunday Coffee ya’ll!
