In case you missed it, I happen to be an avid lover of plaid. Any color will do. But give me a soft flannel shirt and I’m sold. Every. Single. Time.
I’ve had this dress for ages, a Nordstorm purchase from when I was living stateside about 5 years ago. And for some reason, I never find the occasion to wear it. And I should. It’s soft, cosy and yet pulls everything together to look, dare I say it, somewhat chic?
I scavenged for it out of my wardrobe the other day and I’m fairly confident I haven’t take it off since.
I feel like plaid is typically associated with autumn. Autumn is for plaid shirts, and winter is for jumpers, boots and ahem – staying in to avoid the elements. But this season, we can rock the plaid all winter long. So don’t tuck away the plaid shirtdresses just yet, there’s still time for these babies to make a statement.
I’ve paired the shirtdress with my flat over the knee boots. Don’t get me started on the boots… Maybe two years ago (gasp) I purchased these over the knee suede Kurt Geiger dreams. I don’t know if you could tell from my Cyber Monday post, but I’m slightly obsessed with Kurt Geiger boots.

I love reworking my old wardrobe into my current one. How often do we look into our closets and say, ‘I have nothing to wear!’ No. You have unreal amounts to wear. It’s just about remembering how you loved those old favourites.
I’m always finding things that I’ve forgotten along the way that I know are amazing purchases (that okay, maybe still have the tags on them). I’m looking at you random knitted jumper.
So, seriously, nothing to wear?
