Sometimes, you have an evening that is full of variety. This post is like that evening, fashion and the Four Seasons Maui.
First up: Fashion
And then Fish.
We went to Monkeypod for dinner, which is located on the Wailea side of the island. The owner is Chef Peter Merriman.
We had previously dined at one of his fine establishments, Merriman’s, on our second night in Maui. But Monkeypod has a definitively relaxed atmosphere. It’s low-key and casual. Merriman’s on the Kapalua side of the island is more suited for special occasions.
Naturally, I ordered the fish tacos. I really couldn’t be stopped during our time in Maui. I ordered these at each and every opportunity I had.
But these fish tacos certainly weren’t the best on the island. However, they were good enough for a casual night.
After dinner we decided to get a little bit adventurous. We wanted to check out some of the other hotels on the island… specifically the Four Seasons.
Talk about glamour.
The beachfront is beautiful too. It’s secluded, tucked away.
A couple was posing on the beach in their wedding attire, a beautiful bride and handsome groom, hand in hand. We assumed this little table was set up for the happy couple.
I wouldn’t have minded crashing that special dinner for two, it looks amazing!
But we retreated back inside the hotel, admiring the lovely tapestries amongst an open air plan.
Plants, florals, and greenery surround the open ceiling space.
I shouldn’t say tapestries, I think they were painted on. Still gorgeous.
The walls within the Four Seasons were incredible. I love that these hotels are constantly incorporating art as design.
The Four Seasons however, has a different feel compared to the Andaz, the emphasis is more focused on old glam than modern luxe.
I had such a nice time exploring these hotels along the island. You get a great feel of where you’d like to head if you ever have the opportunity to return.
I know I’d love to stay at all of these beautiful hotels and resorts someday, but for now, we’re newlyweds on somewhat of a budget.
Still, it’s always nice to dream.

Love the outfit, especially the shorts, very cute! I remember seeing Monkeypod in Hawaii, but never went. The food looks good!

Thank you! Monkeypod was good… but not great. I definitely feel like we went to spots that were much better. What was your favorite restaurant in Hawaii? xox
