It’s no secret that while living in London I’ve developed a sweet tooth.
From biscuits, scones and sweet treats at afternoon tea through to my all time favourite, Sticky Toffee Pudding. When I first came to visit London, I fell head over heels for this particular dessert. Rich, velvety goodness, it’s a melt in your mouth kind of incredible that once I had a taste of, I couldn’t look back.
I usually save ordering this for special occasions like when I have family who’ve flown over from the states. It just so happens to be their favourite too. But I have some BIG news! I’ve found a way to get my hands on my favourite dessert without waiting for the family to book a flight and… whipping it up in less than a minute.
Yes, seriously. In case you didn’t know, the baking gods at Dr. Oetker have their famous ‘Pud in a Mug’ range. You know that recipe that you have saved on Pinterest for that ‘no bake’ cake in a mug thing that you never even tried? Same here. So let’s just leave it to Dr. Oetker because they have found a way to make less than a minute “no bake” desserts happen and trust me, it’s good.
With a collection of chocolatey goodness already in their dessert range, they’re introducing something new. Launching their brand new flavour, this happens to be the best thing to happen to me this month tbh. You guessed it – Sticky Toffee Pudding.
Oh boy, times are quite literally about to change because Dr. Oetker’s is the easiest method to baking Sticky Toffee Pudding. Less than a minute, just add milk, it’s the dessert dream I’ve been waiting for. Joe also can verify the tried and tested happiness/taste factor.
So here the deal: 1 packet of Dr. Oetker’s Sticky Toffee pudding, 50 seconds in the microwave, 4 tablespoons of milk and voila! Done!
It’s definitely great for those nights you want something sweet and great quality, but don’t want to go to the effort of baking (hello, story of my life). Plus, these little babes are perfect for one. Which means you can indulge in a treat just for you. Excellent.
The Pud in a Mug Sticky Toffee flavour is now available in Asda, Sainsbury’s and Tesco for around £0.79. Other flavours on my radar are the Rich Chocolate, Chocolate Chip, Milk and Dark Chocolate. I mean, I need the Dark Chocolate lining my cupboards. It’s obvious that we’re going to need to stock up, because these are about to become mine and Joe’s new go-to desserts.
