I can safely say that I have started off the new year with fantastic looking nails.
Alright, fantastic might be a bit of a stretch.
But they are longer and looking healthy. I’m thrilled that I’ve managed to get them to this stage.
What I’ve been using: Leighton Denny.
For Christmas I received the Leighton Denny Grooming Essentials nail care kit complete with a Crystal File, Hand Renew Cream, and a Hoof Stick. These have worked like a dream combination. First you file. Then add a bit of the cream to the cuticles, and then you push the cuticles back with the Hoof Stick.
It works like a charm.
Keeping the routine of doing these three simple steps has helped massively.
Okay, so maybe the pictures don’t showcase how healthy they really look but it’s a good measure of progress.
After the three steps of nail care, I’ve been using part of a three piece nail set that J got me. It contains a mini green color, a larger glitter color and a mini top coat.
I’ve been sticking with the green and top coat for the time being. I tried out the glitter as a layer on top of the green and it prompted me to peel off the polish. So I’m avoiding that.
A little bit sloppy, considering my nails are still a bit on the short side. But I’m working on it.
So far, as of January 6th, I’ve kept my nail care up for nearly a week now. Only 51 weeks to go to keep up my goal. However, the real goal is that I won’t need to get any fake nails put on for my wedding. I think I can manage.
My next move is to pick up the Leighton Denny Base Coat, a full size of the Top Coat and the Miracle Drops (which go over the Top Coat for extra quick nail drying).
I feel like when you find a brand that works, why not go for it?
What do you guys think of the color? The progress?
Anyone else struggling to keep their nails healthy?
xx Kelly
PS. I’m obviously not a spokesperson for the brand, or getting anything for free (I wish), but I truly do endorse this product and think it’s doing wonders for my nails.

My step mum has so many Leighton Denny products (nail varnish, strengthener, cuticle cream, cuticle balm, everything!) so whenever I am home I steal it, I agree it is really good 🙂 India xx

Yes! You absolutely need to steal it all. It’s so addicting. I’ve never had better nails in my life. I sound like such a walking advert, but it’s true! xo
