Happy Sunday Coffee!
It’s been without a doubt, another beautiful day in London. Last Sunday was unreal. And this Sunday, despite lacking those Ibiza temperatures, is still pretty damn good. I’ve spent the day working on my fitness and cleaning the flat. I know, so adult of me.
This week has been beyond busy. I’ve had things on nearly every night, and plans all weekend. I know that I usually put up the Sunday Coffee in the morning, you know, when you’d be drinking coffee. BUT. Let’s just call today Sunday Cocktails, Sunday Wine or better yet, and more a complete summary of my weekend, Sunday G&Ts.
Somehow, I woke up this morning without a raging hangover like all of my friends…
TIME FOR YOUR SUNDAY COFFEE…
1. Sundays in the park
Yes, last Sunday was all kinds of glorious. I met up with my London pals in St. James’ Park where we proceeded to sun ourselves and get tipsy on too many bottles of Prosecco. These are the BEST of times. I also flung myself onto the grass and demanded that a photoshoot happen while I was surrounded by the daisies. I’ve become that person you guys.
2. RAIN
Apparently the amazing weekend meant that the week was going to be FILLED with buckets of rain. I was not a fan, but hey, London’s always beautiful in the rain. Said someone. One time.
3. Mornings at the W
YEP. Sometimes I start my days in a fancy way. A work meeting at the W Hotel was the perfect way to start my Thursday.
4. Football Writer’s Association Dinner
So, we went to our first FWA ‘Tribute Dinner’ at the end of January. And yes, you’re not the only one who thinks of the Hunger Games when I said it. Now, for the end of the season the Football Writer’s Association have a second dinner honouring the Player of the Year. This year, no surprise it was Jamie Vardy from Leicester who won. I’m super proud of Joe being the youngest member of the FWA. He works ridiculously hard pursuing his passion and continuing his career, so being able to attend events with him really means a lot to me. Cheese over, OK. It was fantastic, The Landmark do one hell of a chicken something or other and sipped on their house white wine. (Also, this is the first time I’ve EVER embedded my own video into my blog…! 5. Happy Lips!
I love all things happy, and typically like to start my mornings with a ‘Happy Monday! Tuesday! Wednesday!’ and so on tweet. So, it makes sense that I’d also love happy lips! These cuties from Blistex remind me of the old school Bonnie Bell lip balms that we used to have when we were younger. Nothing like a throwback you guys. And don’t like look great with my phone case? Yes they do. I’ve got the Strawberry on right now and it smells like I’ve smeared dessert all over my lips. This is living.
6. Richard Ward – The Chelsea Collection
Speaking of all things beauty, I’ve been DYING to write about these products for ages. A few weeks ago I was sent Richard Ward’s Chelsea Collection to try out and I can definitively say, I love it. My hair hasn’t been this soft in AGES. Despite all the bleach and ruin I’ve put it through, this little collection seems to be restoring my hair back to life. It’s actually amazing.
7. Mango Tree in Harrods
Friday night after work, Joe and I ventured across to Knightsbridge for what we didn’t know would be the MEAL OF OUR LIVES. In the food hall in Harrods there are a plethora of fantastic restaurants. I’ve been in the food hall for champagne and purchasing chocolates (obv) before, but never for a full meal. Well, Mango Tree will blow your socks off. I’m writing about it in full this week, so stay tuned. Spoiler alert – it’s a real winner.
8. Photoshoots, not for me
Earlier this week, my BFF Grace asked me to take some headshots for her to use in her DEBUT IN A MAGAZINE. I’m ridiculously proud of her, so I was honoured to take her snaps for it. She’s an actual babe and I want to steal the hair off her head. TOO PRETTY.
9. Greece in London
Of course, it was only fair for Grace to take my photos as well. London looked very much like a little Greek village yesterday. I also was pretending that I was in ABBA, so there’s a running theme there.
10. EUROVISION
Last night was my first time watching Eurovision. I KNOW. Grace was already over, Sarah met us and Joe you know, lives with me, so we all got together for the festivities. A couple of bottles of gin later and I’m not quite sure what happened. There was dancing to Justin Timberlake, there was sassy Graham Norton and there was copious amounts of alcohol consumed. Needless to say, I guess I’ll be watching next year.
11. Running class
I absolutely love the fact that I’ve been getting back into the gym. Mainly because I simply do not fit into the bridesmaid dress that I’m wearing in less than two weeks (cue my absolute panic and potential juice cleanse purchase next week). Anyways, I’m thinking if I can get into a running class for 5 days a week for the next two weeks that I *might* squeeze into it.
That’s all from me this week! It’s been a packed one, but in one of those ways that I haven’t felt too exhausted from. I think I’ve been finding this ideal balance between work life, blogging and having a social life again. I’ve said it time and time again, I want to get out more this summer and enjoy life. And now I’m ready to make it happen.
Hope you’ve enjoyed the Sunday Coffee, I mean Sunday G&T this week guys!
Kelly xoxo
