After a mini-hiatus, I’m back with an arsenal of photography and plenty to add to Flat Eleven.
Our trip to Genève, as the French say, was incredible. We left from London on a rare, sunny afternoon. And J was in charge of our carry on luggage…
Before we knew it, we were in the air!
And we bid our goodbyes to the English coast. Only to later be greeted by bright skies.
And the Alps…
Absolutely giddy, we were delighted with our view.
Only to sneak back down through the clouds below.
So we landed, my passport was checked and stamped and we headed straight for the train to the center of Geneva.
In First Class style and with chocolate, of course.
Okay, so we may have wandered into First Class “accidentally.” But it was only a six minute journey, therefore completely acceptable. And the chocolate was pure heaven.
Before we knew it, we were in the city center.
We quickly checked into our hotel, and then headed out to explore the city.
Needless to say, the Swiss are serious about their chocolate. Readily available around every twist and turn, your sweet tooth with never go unsatisfied in Switzerland.
But we were hungry for a bit more substance, so we hit up the nearby pretzel stand.
We opted to split a Nature pretzel, so the absolute basic, salted. Maybe we were just extra hungry, but it was so so good.
Feeling a bit more energetic, we made our way towards the water.
Also, home to many, many swans.
We’d barely been in Switzerland, yet we’d been so busy taking in our surroundings. Of course, we realized we needed to scope out our restaurant options next… stay tuned for my next post finishing up our first night in Geneva.
What do you guys think so far?
I don’t think I’ve ever gotten such great plane shots as I did on our flight to Geneva.
Anyways, more to follow on this weekends Flat Eleven travels…
xx Kelly
