Did you know that there are stone circles all around the United Kingdom that you can visit? We finally went to Avebury Stone Circle this year and this was my first time visiting a stone circle that you can visit up close.

Most famously, England is known for Stonehenge, but there are so many amazing stone circles that you can visit throughout the United Kingdom, so don’t miss one near you on your next adventure! The Avebury Stone Circle has been around roughly between 2850 BC and 2200 BC…! 💎

We spent a glorious two days at Langdale Chase Hotel @langdalechase along Lake Windermere. This absolutely has to be one of the most luxurious stays you’ll find in the Lake District 😍

🌊 Stay in the Windermere Rooms overlooking the lake, this was especially dreamy in the autumn during our stay! 🍂
🍽️ You MUST have dinner in The Dining Room, two AA Rosette, panoramic Dining Room by Executive Chef Michael Cole, the food here is fantastic! You’ll want to eat here around the clock (we did!)
🥃 Grab drinks in their cocktail bar, I’d particularly recommend the Old Fashioned
🔥 Get cosy around the hotel, there are several fireplaces, lounges and cosy spaces to settle into for the day
⚓️ Set sail on their boat, Albatros! Sailings are daily at the hotel 10am, 12pm and 3pm. It’s so much fun!
🎬 Have a film night! They have a cinema room where they show films nightly.
🍰 Treat yourself to the Swallows & Amazons Afternoon Tea. Seriously, the food here is incredible + this is one of the most extensive afternoon tea menus we’ve ever had.

Did you know that you can stay overnight at Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn?! 🏰👑

I’ve always been obsessed with Tudor history, so staying overnight and walking the grounds that Anne Boleyn once did felt like stepping into history alongside her.

Hever Castle was built in the 13th century and from 1462 to 1539, it was the where the Boleyn family lived.

Today? You can visit the castle for the day… OR you can spend the night! They have 27 luxury bedrooms across the Astor Wing and the Anne Boleyn Wing attached to the castle.

🛌 Sleep in a room fit for a queen, we stayed in one of the Anne Boleyn Wing, overlooking the castle grounds and it was STUNNING. Standard Rooms start from £215 per night.
🎟️ Tickets to the Castle & Gardens are included with your stay, so you can go into the castle as much as you like!
👑 Dinner at King Henry VIII pub across from the castle, the food here is AMAZING!
🍽️ Breakfast in the Great Hall room at the B&B, it’s so regal
🍂 Go for autumnal walks on the grounds
☕️ On site is a café plus a coffee + donut cart
⛲️ Don’t miss the Italian gardens, they are stunning!
🌌 Wander the grounds after hours! When the castle closes to the public, the grounds are open just for overnight guests! You can’t go inside the castle, but walking the grounds at night is magical! 💫

Not going to lie, it’s hard when your alarm goes

Not going to lie, it’s hard when your alarm goes off before sunrise… but I always feel like the most magical time exploring a city is during these hours right before the sun comes up.

In Edinburgh, it’s called the “blue hour” during the winter months. The sky is this perfect blue before the sun finally rises and the day officially begins.

If you’re lucky enough to find someone who wants to explore the city with you (and get up for that alarm!!) - you’re even luckier!
