OK. I know I promised there was a review of Bob Bob Ricard to coincide with my last post that went up. That was a bold faced lie.
Soz. Here it is, one day later!
My pal Grace and I managed to snap up a table in Bob Bob Ricard (who are we, really?) so we ventured there on a Saturday afternoon. I say afternoon because we were booked for a table at 5:30pm.
The early bird special was waiting for us. AKA all the champagne.
We took our time decided what we wanted. I was THIS close to ordering the Sole stuffed with lobster (omgz). We ended up starting with the Raw Oysters because why not? And you can’t just get mains at Bob Bob Ricard. You need to experience it all, so hello pretty oysters.
The oysters were delish, so we decided to be cute and cheers them for photos. This is what social media has done to me.
After our oysters our mains arrived pretty quickly.
Grace ordered the Mariner’s Fish Pie, which was personalised with their logo and everything. #Bespoke
I on the other hand, went for the Roast Norwegian Cod. It was all kinds of melt in your mouth good.
We definitely enjoyed our meals and finished every bite. And I’m not even a little bit ashamed about it.
In lieu of dessert, we decided we really needed to ‘Press for Champagne’ and before Grace could protest, I’d hit the button and our server came swanning to our table.
I’m not kidding, I pressed it and from out of nowhere he was there.
We obviously ordered another round before we headed off into Soho for a ~wild~ night. I mean late evening. Because it was 7:30pm.
Overall conclusions from Bob Bob Ricard? Yes, I should have ordered that epic dessert, but I don’t regret it. Also, the meal is what you make of it. We could have gone with outrageously expensive items, but the prices aren’t dissimilar to some of my favourite haunts in Kensington. The only think that will set you back is the glasses of champagne. We probably could have done with ordering a bottle of it, but (and I’m only admitting this to you guys) I just really wanted to press that button.
And I’m not even sorry about it.
I’d recommend heading into Bob Bob for a classic London meets luxe 1940s Manhattan style and five star food to match. Just make sure to book it in advance!

I’m dying to visit….just so I can press the button. The food is a secondary concern 😀

Food is so secondary! I wish we’d pressed even MORE. xx
