Let me just start by saying that this trip to Biltmore Estate had been on my bucket list forever!
We’d been planning our visit to the magical Biltmore Estate in North Carolina for over a year, and when we finally arrived, it felt like stepping straight into the pages of a fairytale.

Just 15 minutes from downtown Asheville, Biltmore Estate swept us away from the very first moment.
Think: grand staircases, stately architecture, sprawling gardens, and the Blue Ridge Mountains rolling in the distance.
And because you’ll want to stay extra close for your visit, you’ve got to stay at The Inn on Biltmore Estate.
It’s not just a hotel, it’s an experience, and every detail whispers luxury. The Inn on Biltmore Estate is the more high end luxury overnight option on Biltmore Estate. As another option though, you can also stay at their other property, Village Hotel on Biltmore Estate.

Checking In to Our Dream Stay at The Inn On Biltmore Estate
The Inn on Biltmore Estate has recently undergone some beautiful renovations and our room was everything I’d imagined and more. Elegant, classic, and cosy with the kind of soft linens you sink into and never want to leave.
With panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, it honestly makes you feel like you never want to leave. We certainly took advantage of enjoying time in our room – we even ordered room service on our second night just so we could stay in and enjoy watching the sunset from our windows.
Sunrises and sunsets here are something else… soft pinks and golden light over the mountains, it’s absolutely magical.

All the Must-Do Moments at The Inn on Biltmore Estate
From morning strolls to candlelit dinners, every moment on Biltmore Estate is packed with charm.
Here’s a little guide to everything we loved (and what you should definitely add to your list):

🎟️ Book your tickets in advance for Biltmore House
It’s America’s Largest Home, and the architecture is jaw-dropping. If you’re staying at The Inn on Biltmore Estate, you’re obviously going to see Biltmore Estate itself.
It is a a total must-see for lovers of magic and fairytale castles. This is as close to an American castle as I think you can get!
Definitely book tickets in advance to make sure you’re all set for your visit. I would really recommend booking for the first tour slot of the day. It’s a super quiet time and you can really explore without any crowds yet around. Equally, towards the end of the day I’d imagine it’s a bit quieter too!

🍷 Wine tasting at Biltmore Winery (included with your ticket!)
Now this was such a lovely touch! You can go and experience a complimentary wine tasting in the Tasting Room in Antler Hill Village with your Biltmore House ticket.
Or pop to the Wine Bar at The Winery to indulge with a glass or two. Don’t skip the cheese board — it pairs perfectly with a glass of their Chardonnay!

🥃 Cocktails in The Library Lounge
This is the perfect pre-dinner ritual. Candlelight, a roaring fireplace, classic interiors, a cocktail or two.

🍽️ Dinner (and Breakfast!) in The Dining Room
Now this was definitely one of the highlights at The Inn on Biltmore Estate! Every dish was beautifully prepared, refined Southern cuisine with a modern twist.
And breakfast here? A whole other level! I was tempted for breakfast in bed, but this was soooo nice to come down for. I went for a healthier option egg white omelet with spinach… and loads of toast with butter… for balance, of course. Joe enjoyed poached eggs and bacon.
And they even give you a kind of breakfast amuse bouche selection too – very bougie, very delicious!

Final Thoughts at The Inn on Biltmore Estate
Honestly, the only downside? We didn’t stay long enough! OK so we did stay for two nights – which I would highly recommend! But with such a lovely stay, you never feel like there is long enough in such a beautiful space.
If you’re planning your own Biltmore escape, my advice is give yourself at least two or three nights to truly unwind, explore, and indulge.
This place is pure fairytale and we’re already dreaming about our return.
Have you ever visited the Biltmore Estate? Let me know… or better yet, tell me if it’s on your dream list too! 🏰✨
