Happy 2016 everyone!!
I hope you’ve all been over indulging and celebrating the New Year the past few days.
I know that it feels kind of silly to think that everything will change in the space of a day. But I love the idea that there’s this sort of made up life reset button. Compartmentalizing our years allows us to definitively put our past behind us. Whether it has been a really tough year or one of the best, I love this concept. After all, I’m not ashamed to admit that I love fresh starts.
A fresh start doesn’t mean that your life has to drastically change. But resolutions can be healthy for us and I have a few in mind that I think are really going to make the difference (at least at first).
We are flying back to London tonight after a series of rebookings. Our airline mistakenly rebooked us to leave in December 2016 instead of January 2016. Yes, I also can’t help but laugh at my luck at the start of the year… While I’m looking forward to getting back to reality again, this really has been one of the most difficult times leaving home.
So go on and enjoy the last of your holiday time this weekend with your family and friends before you officially hit that reset button. Drink more champagne. Laugh more. And love more.
Best wishes to you all and I can’t wait to see what the New Year has in store!
Happy 2016!
