London is heating up.
Gone are the days where we huddled inside for warmth, thinking, ‘Go outside where I don’t have to be? No way!’ In the spirit of grasping onto a good day, we decided to walk through the park on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, rather than immediately catching the tube home.
This came after a lengthy afternoon brunch at the Buddha-Bar in Knightsbridge. In all fairness, I’ll admit it, we needed the walk.
I’m slightly in awe of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. The big open space is perfect for running without inhaling pollution emitting from the street, or for knocking into pedestrians. But it’s also the perfect place for simply being outside, strolling without aim, enjoying the greenery.
You come across the most glorious sights as well, like the Albert Memorial.
Directly across from the dazzling Royal Albert Hall.
It’s days like these that you can’t help but fall, stumbling, head over heels in love with London.
The park air was crisp and fresh, the sun warming our faces as we walked along.
Shining so brightly, the sun was even washing my pale skin out entirely.
I couldn’t help but manage to snap a few shots of what I wore that day. I’m continuously fawning over these few staple pieces in my wardrobe: the gray ASOS coat which has proven perfect for both winter and the gradual transition to spring; the Michael Kors Jetset bag; stunning Alexander McQueen scarf; and stylish but so incredibly comfortable, Sam Edelman booties.
I’ve found some nearly there substitutes…

It’s always good to make sure that you have pieces in your wardrobe that stand out. I tend to wear a lot of (read: always wear) black, so spicing up an outfit with accessories is a great go to fashion plan.
Now, I know that these aren’t the cheapest of accessories. But when it comes to fashion, I like to think of it as an investment. I’m not always spending on irrelevant items that I won’t wear again. I’ve gotten to a point that each and every item I purchase is carefully and lovingly picked.
Do you have any staple pieces in your wardrobe that you couldn’t live without??
