I didn’t think I’d be spending the Fourth of July in England playing beer pong, eating burgers and various other drinking games, but London surprises you like that.
When I was invited along to Three’s Fourth of July party, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. The pressure totally off me for the Fourth? I was really eager to see what they were up to.
So I grabbed my lucky other half and we headed to the par-tay.
We walked into a room filled with typical ‘USA’ foods. Mac-and-cheese? Yes. Yes and more yes.
Nachos? Oh okay, if I must.
And my personal favorite?
And these were just the indoor treats. Once you stepped outside….
Fantastic decor, obviously. I’m biased.
Three certainly know how to throw a party. The food was EPIC.
Iceberg lettuce drizzled in some phenomenal dressing, seasoned green beans, these are a few of my favorite things. Also, I’m fairly confident I’ve never seen a Fourth of July quite so beautifully catered. It was amazing.
Then the typical burger. Except not so typical. Honestly, one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time.
Corn on the cob. One of my FAVORITE summertime foods.
I mean, I was practically starving the entire time. Can’t believe how little there was to eat…
In all seriousness. It’s a miracle I didn’t eat everything in sight.
I may have been the only American at the party. I think! But we all took turns posing with the flag.
And then we moved onto the games. This was the first time I’ve ever played beer pong on the Fourth of July! It was incredible. Why has this never been a Fourth of July activity for me before?!
The games got incredibly serious, very quickly. I mean, we may have gotten into a rousing entire party game of flip cup. Ensue the hilarity, the smack talk and then the copious amounts of alcohol. All the fun.
After all the drinking, they thought it was a great plan to give us all FIRE.
No one singed off any eyebrows, so we celebrated by finishing the fun evening with milk and cookies.
Because that essentially completes how fantastic it all happened to be.
This was one of the best events I’ve been to in a long time, and I was really impressed.
But let’s chat about the goods shall we? Our Fourth of July soirée with Three was for us to experience their Samsung Galaxy S6 and celebrate those who live far away. As an American, that means Skyping with my family on a regular basis. It’s basically making time to see your loved ones on the other side of the world. We’re so lucky to have technology am I right?!
Anyways, the whole concept with Three at the moment is the #MakeItRight campaign. I’m sure you’ve seen the advert once or twice (if you live in the UK). Three are here to make your life much easier. And they are taking on the challenge of what is completely blah about the mobile industry today, including sky-high fees to call loved ones abroad… I know that I have to completely rely on Wifi and Skype to stay in touch with my family!
So it was a stellar showcase of what Three is working to achieve, if you’re interested, definitely take a look at what they’re working towards, it’s pretty cool.
And stay tuned for an update on my Samsung testing experience….
And PS A Happy Belated Fourth of July my friends!
Kelly xoxo
